Dating your pages
As in when you add your dates to your pages, not taking them out to dinner.
When you are dating your scrapbook pages do you add the year to them?

Always. I do month, day, year unless I don't know the exact day or if the photos were taken on a series of days. Buy, I always always always do at least month and year.

Month and year... sometimes season and year. Most of the time no actual date.

I'm kinda obsessive about making sure my pages are dated. Unless the day has significance, I use month year.

yes... I don't scrap in order and who knows when I'll print the massive amount of pages, sitting here... so it's month/day/year... sometimes day/month/year... as long as it's somewhere - it's the last thing I do. I have become lazy, though... I used to be a huge date element person... now I just add it to a tag or the end of journaling.

If I can remember the date the photo was taken, I use that date. If I can't remember, I put the date I made the scrap page. Usually it is month/day/year. Sometimes it is just month/year.

yes. I didn't use to when marcus and jamesen were a baby and then i found myself finding it harder and harder to remember which year it was as jamesen got older and started putting years on so I didn't' have to keep delving into my EHD to get the year right every time i printed my pages

Usually month and year. I don't add the actual day of the month unless there is some signifigance to it.

I'm still scrapping 20 year old pics, so I consider it good if I at least have the year on them. Some of the time you can tell what month it is from the pics. I occasionally will put the day also. It just all depends on how much info I have.

Of course! Always! I look through the boxes of photos I have from generations past and I'm always so sad when there's no date. I always put the month/day/year unless it's a scan of a photo from before the days of my digital camera. I didn't always mark the day on those photos but always the month and year.

Yes, I usually date them, and I am OCD enough that I will add an extra '0' for the first 9 months of the year so that they will be the same number of digits that the last 3 months of the year will be:
e.g. 01.01.14 = 6 digits, 10.01.14 = 6 digits. |

Depends on the LO. If its for my annual family album I sometimes do specific dates but only day and month - I know its 2013 for example because its in that book. For my books for my boys which will cover a longer period (e.g. 5 years) I usually date it more generally, by month and year and/or an approx. age of my boys.

I always put the day, month and year. The first album I finished is just month and year, and as I added my pages it drove me crazy not to know the photo order for each month.

Same here. Month, Date, Year. I usually hide it a little bit though (typing it in the background) so it doesn't distract from the look & feel of the page.

I most definitely add the entire date. Sometimes I have added the day of the week and even the time. I don't know, every little detail I know about the memory is soooo important to me.

I do month and year on most pages. It depends on the subject matter but I like knowing the 'when' and my memory is shot.

I usually just put month and year unless I specifically remember the date.

I make a point of putting a full date on all of my layouts. The only exception are photos that I scanned in from before I had a digital camera since I don't really know a date for those. For the digital photos, I save them in a folder that has the date they were taken as part of the name so, even if it's a few years later that I scrap photos, I can figure out the date they were taken very easily.

Absolutely! I put the full date on everything I make. I never know what book they are going to end up in. I have several that I'm working on. One for my daughter, my son, myself & my project life. It helps me to keep them in order when I'm putting the books together for printing.

I try to at least put the month and year on them. Also, if the photos are obviously from years past, I'll write Journaled then the date so no one gets confused later.

month and year at the very least. Sometimes I am more specific. It just depends on my mood and space available on the page.
