Default my fishies are soo happy

(I know you want to know about this.. lol but no one is around ! )

A week or so ago my big fish, named grumpy, took apart my filter-- and what I didn't realize at the time, was that she BROKE it. lol So when I went to put it back together (I was avoiding sticking my hand in there while she was moody.. she wouldn't hurt me or anything but she's spastic lol) and by the time I did the tank was in desperate need of a filter.. poopy fish. Anyway... I got a new one tonight It is lovely.. it's a lot bigger-- the old one was for their smaller tank, it was about time they got an upgrade anyway ) and I fixed their bubble maker.. they're all swimming around happy. The past few days they've (well the little ones) been moping around on the bottom.. but now they're like weeeeeee happy fish.

The exciting times of my life... By La

Yay for happy fish!! fish scare me, i have attempted having a fish tank a couple times but both times didn't do so well because the thought of sticking my hand in there scared me to much.

What kind of fish do you have?

our fish never last long..except the one "docile" goldfish that kept fighting/eating all the others..the one you wanted to take the toilet bowl trip is the one that outlived them all!

for a while ... I was hoping the fish would just DIE We've had them for like 3 years now.

Nothing super exciting... I'm not into expensive tropical fish or anything-- I mean they're super cool, but I think finding nemo effected me a little more than I like to admit to people

I have a bunch of (fat.. overfed) barbs, tiger, rosey, and some other kind I can't remember). .. A neon (lol they were the tank starter fish... we had a gabillion, they all died like starter fish do.. except this one lol poor lonely neon) and we have an again fat overfed what pleco (those algae eater things... they get HUMONGO which apparently I didn't know when I first got it-- that's grumpy btw, she's so so big) and then a baby pleco ..who's name is cranky. We're going to need to upgrade the tank again when cranky grows.. cause there's no way that we can have two that size... Plus when they get bigger they get MEANER lol. Thus the recent destruction of my tank parts.

I have been trying to talk my DH into getting rid of our fish tank for the past 2 years. I hate it. I refuse to get anywhere near it and he doesn't have the time to maintain it like it needs to be. Plus, I am terrified of fish!!! LOL!

Glad your fishies are happy again Lauren!

I had a beta for a while.. he died Connor asks for a new on all the time but it just seemed like such a lonely fishie...

funny.. about the beta. I listened to a friend once that said that beta's could actuallly be in a community tank with certain types of fish...

maybe..

not my tank.

grumpy & cherry got into a fight (connor names all the fish.. I'm not this cheesy lol) and grumpy won... Granted, cherry did eat a neon, so he deserved the butt whipping. and no... lol that didn't kill him ) He got sick like a year later and died

Years ago we got Jordan a fish tank and fish for her birthday and man those things just wouldn't die!!! She would forget to feed them for days and hardly ever cleaned the tank!! They just wouldn't die!! When we finally had to get rid of them cause of the move I put them in a normal fish bowl to clean the tank and they died 2 days later...LOL!! Weird how things work!! They lasted 4 years!!

Yay for the happy fishies!

La we now have one fish too, a friend needed to get rid of it (because they got a new one and they found out they can't be in the same tank) so we took the fish home...poor guy. Anyway ours is a louhan, I'm not sure if you guys have these where you are but it is pretty popular around here...it's not the prettiest fish though (it is ugly actually). The locals believe it brings good luck though and some really old ones (they get really big...and uglier) are being sold for thousands of dollars.

I'm so happy for your fishies LOL!

We had fish one time, and they lasted 1 1/2 days, even though I did a bunch of research to make sure they lived a long time LOL. I love fish, the kids do too.

LOL Lauren, That's one thing about fish, they do like clean and bubbly water!

We have only outdoor fish, they live in our pond and there are about 25 of them. They are all koi and eat out of my hand so I guess you can say I'm not afraid of fish!

We used to have some that were 2 feet long! But when we thought we were moving to FL we gave them all to my BIL. There is one we named Blackie (he's solid black) that is now 3 feet and can you say HUGE! He's awesome, still eats out of my hand every time I visit him!

Can you tell I love my fish?

I'm afraid of them because when I was a kid we were camping and I was wading on the boat ramp when a trout came up and nibbled on my toe. That was it. I couldn't stand fish from that day on. Plus they're slimy and they smell bad... LOL!!!
