Default It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

In my house anyway. We got our tree up last night, and I've got the other decorations out. They'll go up sometime today (we don't decorate outside).

Who else is decorating this weekend???

I wait until December 1st to decorate. Plus we get a real tree so we have to wait to put that up. I cannot believe how close Christmas is!

I know! It's crazy. I was just looking at the calendar, and I just have 4 weeks of work left before we're closed for the holiday! Woo hoo!

Eek! That's scary! I'm usually done all my shopping by now, but we've been so busy at work, I only have the kids done. I like to have it all done by December 1st, so I can relax! I still have a week, perhaps I can scramble and get it all done LOL

Girl, I knew I liked you! LOL! I'm the same way. I *always* have my shopping done early. I like being able to relax and enjoy the season without worrying about shopping (see my other thread! LOL)

LOL I just posted in the other thread, once I had it typed out, it's really not that bad. I do know what I'm getting the teachers. I wish I had more time and a better printer to do some hybrid projects.

We always put up our Fall decorations and pull out the Christmas ones on Thanksgiving weekend. Soooo....(DH just walked into the office to see when I'd get off the computer and get started. LOL!)....one of the girls will help him with the lights outside while I start with the other daughter on the inside decorations. We always have so much fun decorating!!

I think we'll put our tree up on 1st Dec this year. Some years I've waited until 14th Dec (day after DD's Birthday) but then I have to take it down before 1st Jan (DS's Birthday) - which makes a really really short Christmas season in our house! My mission this year is to get my parents to actually put a tree up at their place - I bought some cute photo frame ornaments and will fill them with pics of the grandchildren so hopefully that will inspire them this year!

I got all of my house decor up today (with the exception of a few things that I ran out of pins to hang them with). Tomorrow I'm hoping to tackle the tree. I really hate putting the tree together and stringing the lights on it, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE hanging all of the ornaments because every single one holds a special memory for me. My goal for next year is to get one of those pre-lit x-mas trees.

I am still exhausted from hosting Thanksgiving here, so I don't know that I'll start decorating this weekend. But, definitely next week and then we'll probably buy our tree next weekend.

I usually do all the decorating this weekend and put the tree up however with the new kitten (very mischevious) I'm thinking about waiting a couple weeks. I know she will wreck havoc on the tree for sure. My dd and grands are wanting it up now cause they never have time to do thier house until the last minute. They live close enough that they visit our house daily.
We will start the outside today. At least we can enjoy that without worry about the bad kitty tearing it down!!

It snowed today! It never stayed though. We went to WalMart and Rae wanted to get a set of bells, so the kids are shaking them, it feels so Christmasy!

Benjamin also informed me today, that he wants get a fake tree, so he doesn't have to hurt Mother Nature and the forest by cutting one down. He's 7.
