Default Lite Brite?

Does anyone still play with these?

I was thinking about getting my kids one for Christmas. They have a Lite Brite Cube or a Flat Screen.

Which one should I get?

My girls have the one with the flat screen. They like it. I don't have any experience with the cube but reading the description it mentions that the storage drawers can fall out and spill the pegs. The storage spot on the flat one is very secure and if anything, a little difficult to get open, so you don't have to worry about the pegs spilling. That wins the flat one a point in my book. lol

I got my son the Flat Screen one last year and I hate it- the storage compartment is a total pain to open and anytime any of us try to open it, it flings open and the pegs fly everywhere! The next time I get adventurous and attempt to open it, I'm gonna transfer the pegs into a different container!

My kids have the flat screen version, too! I agree with the peg holder - it's a major pain in the neck to open. But I found a trick - if you tip the lite brite up as you open the cup (so that the opening is always pointing up), they don't spill. And they don't fall out on their own, that's for sure!

But if I've stepped on one lite brite peg...I've stepped on a hundred of them.

I don't remember those little suckers being so hard to find in the carpet, LOL!

I bought my daughter the flat screen one for Christmas. I think she'll really like it, but we'll see.

I'd go for the flat screen -- seems easier to use and to store.

This has been our experience with the flat screen one. Other than that, we like it a lot. The kids find it fun.

ce use to have the flat screen.. agree abotu the pegs flying everywhere when you open the flap-- it's hard to open . We kept the pegs in a sep box.. which defeated the purpose

We have the cube, he loves it and it sits on his dresser all the time with some kind of crazy design on it. We don't use the drawers for storage, a tupperware holds all his pegs.

It is big though, I can see there would be storage issues if you were putting it away all the time.
