Default What's on your to-do list today?

We're heading away on holiday tomorrow, and as usual I've left everything till the last minute. I figure by posting here, I'll be a little more accountable to getting things done. Here's what I need to accomplish today (red means done):

Wash/vacuum car
Take kids shopping for pressies for mum/dad
Help kids wrap presents

Clean bathrooms
Clean fish tank
Take car to mechanic for wheel balance

Pack bags
Tidy house
Ironing
Prepare salad & pavlova for BBQ with neighbours

Edited to add: Now I have to take the youngest to the Dr - she's come out in a rash and fever. Perfect timing.

What's on your to-do list?

It is all for family so they understand...(not that anyone else wouldnt) but I told them I was sending it awhile back and just never got around to it.

Today has been my businest day so far this week! My 13 yo got mad at me this morning because the house wasn't clean and it was embarrasing to have her friend over after school - let's just say that kid is lucky it's Christmas b/c I wanted to kill her!!!!

Today -
Arrange and wrap cookie trays for work X4
Warm crock pot lasagna to take to work
Clean cooler - take to work
Laundry - at least 6 loads to fold
Wrapping - lots
Clean bathrooms
Clean kitchen
Mop floors downstairs
Family meeting about chores/helping/etc.
Clean out fridge
Scrapbook layouts/projects to do X2
Posting of layouts/projects

Oh and this while I work an 8 hour job with a 1 hour commute each way. It's one of those days were I feel like getting in my car and driving the opposite way of home at the end of the work day. *thanks for letting me vent!*

We are in middle of a blizzard, so we are doing christmas around the world... we have been reading traditions on a country, then finding songs on youtube (like songs in french, etc), doing a craft for that country, and then eating or making a cookie from that country... I'm having a blast!

Hubby worked a 1/2 day, so he is now home trying to work as we are doing our thing.. haha

You guys are all so busy!!! My only goal today is to get the laundry washed, folded, AND put away. I'll feel like a complete success if I can accomplish that. Tomorrow and Saturday are a different story - totally busy.

Jacinda, I hope your daughter is okay. It's no fun to be sick especially over Christmas holiday!

Juli, if I had a 13yo I would tell her she's old enough to do the cleaning herself!

Saw the Dr this morning and dd just has a viral rash. It's apparently how her body responds to viruses. She had a rash about 6 weeks ago due to another virus too, but it looked completely different to this one. Anyway, just got basic meds for her fever, and some antihistamine to keep in my cupboard. She's chirpy enough, so it won't make a difference to our Christmas (fingers crossed). Dr says the rash will go away in a couple of days.

I'm just about to leave work for the day...

I need to go home and get stuff together to go to a friends for a Ladies' Cookie Baking Night.

I still have a few presents to wrap, but I think I will do those tomorrow night.

Tomorrow, after work, I have to drive an hour (one way) to meet my parents and pick up their pets. They are going to FL to visit my grandparents, so I'm keep the dog and guinea pig for a week. Add our dog and cat and we are going to be outnumbered by the animals!

That's really all I need to do though. Kinda exciting.

I'm slowly making progress (see post #1), but cleaning up inside the house while 4 kids are playing is just impossible. So while I have ticked off several things from my to-do list, the house still LOOKS like it did when I first started. Ugh.

I only have 1 kid who only does minimal damage, and I warned DH I wasn't cleaning the kitchen until tomorrow at the earliest. Possibly saturday morning depending on how the day goes tomorrow, lol.
There's no excuse for not having gotten the bathrooms done today though. Well, the Christmas cards and C only taking 1 nap are my excuses, but you know what I mean. :P

This isn't my to-do list, it's my did-it list, lol.
Get kids ready for school
Commute to work
Work (this sounds like the most benign task, but it's the hardest and most time consuming -- since it's eats up 1/2 of my waking hours)
Commute home
Shop for refrigerators
Grocery shop
Pick kids up
Cook dinner
Homework with kids
Make banana bread
Clean kitchen
Clean kid's bedroom
Bathe kids
Work out

Okay, so I wasn't successful in getting everything done yesterday Trying again today to get the rest of this stuff done!

YES!!! Success! And I have everything packed in the car to deliver to my parents' when I'm in town this afternoon so I won't have to do it at 8 am tomorrow morning. Cheyanne has a travel basketball game that we have to leave for at 8 so it will be an early start to our day. After the game we head over to my parents' to have Christmas with them and my sister, favorite uncle/aunt, and cousin.

I still have a ton to do before Christmas. Thankfully, we aren't having a get-together at our house this year, so no need to do a bunch of house preparations. Today we have to finish up our homeschool work and make some sugar cookies. I also need to go Christmas shopping. Then tomorrow the kids and I will make gingerbread men and gingerbread houses. I have a couple kids who still need to shop for one of their siblings, so I'll have to take them out for that (and probably need to still finish up my own shopping). I'm hoping to have it all done by Saturday night so that Sunday I can just do any last wrapping and relax. Pretty laid back here though since we aren't heading out of town or anything, just down the street on Christmas day.
