Default Disney Hollywood Studios

Anyone have any good pointers for Hollywood Studios? I'm going to be there Friday with my sister and aunt. It's our first time there.

If you want to ride Toy Story Mania or Meet Buzz & Woody together, do those first, the lines get super long.

get there for rope drop
I'd go get a FP for TSM and ride it then if the wait is short
go ride Tower or Terror or Rockin Roller Coaster standby if the wait is short..the single rider line is much shorter usually if y'all don't mind splitting up
by now you should be able to get another fp so get one for either RnR or ToT whichever you didn't just ride

TSM fast passes run out usually by 11am-noon so make sure to get one as early as possible.

LOVE Hollywood Studios! But I went with a 6 year old boy who got to do the Jedi Training... Probably not on your list, huh?!?

Thanks for the advice. I guess I should have said most of the big rides are out for us. I've got a dissected artery in my neck (and terrible fear of heights) that prohibits me from a lot of rides and my aunt's 80 with spinal stenosis...so she's not going to be doing a lot of rides. We'll be looking for the more sedate things.

Unless I can convince them that I'm in the age group for the Jedi Training, we have to, unfortunately, cross that off the list. If I could just convince them that I'm really only 12. *LOL*

This is one of the things we looked at that we really want to do. Do you know if you can take photos during it?

I was also looking at the photo pass service and was wondering if it's something that would be worth it?

Thanks. Good to know that. It's so rare when we go somewhere that we have pictures with everyone in it...I'm usually the one behind the camera.

the great movie ride is slow and kinda neat. The muppets show is also really cute.

I enjoyed taking photos of old cars, buildings, etc.

Near the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular there is a sign that says "Don't Pull The Rope" but the "Don't" is sort of crossed out -- Definitely Pull The Rope!

Take photos of the characters in the Muppet Fountain. Which main character is missing?

Lots of hidden things and puns in the preshow as you enter Muppet 3D

I took photos inside the Muppet store -- it looks a lot like the Happiness Hotel from The Great Muppet Caper

Check out the Singing in the Rain umbrella

Explore the city backdrops -- pretend you are in New York or San Francisco

Go to You're a Character -- take the quiz to see which Disney character you are most like

Take photos of the hand prints outside the Chinese theater

Parades/shows

American Idol Experience if you like American Idol

Magic of Disney Animation show, afterwards you walk through an area where you can see drawings/figurine models from movies. They also had drawings from Snow White on display when I went. When I went they also had posters for movies that would be coming out in the future (kind of fun to see).

I also enjoyed The Little Mermaid Show.

There is a bookstore with coffee shop called The Writer's Stop.

Have fun!

You can get the Photopass anyways... I always do but I have NEVER ordered the photos! When you hand them your photopass hand them your camera also and they are more than happy to take one with theirs and one with yours! Then you get the photopass photos just in case the one they take with your camera isn't as good. But, in my case, they always take MORE photos with my camera.

Just a tip.

Our favorite park is Hollywood Studios! Here's a list of my must-do attractions there (excluding big rides since you mentioned you're not interested in that):

Toy Story Mania
Star Tours (each ride is unique!)
Fantasmic!
Lights, Motors, Action!® Extreme Stunt Show® (this is AWESOME do not miss it!)
Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage
Muppet*Vision 3-D

Places to eat:
50's Prime Time Café (GO HERE! Make a reservation if you can, but it's not necessary)
Beverly Sunset Sweet Spells (The caramel & candy apples are to DIE for... villiain themed, love this place)
