Default Camera straps and bags

I was gifted a used canon camera with two lenses and the strap to carry the camera is very worn.
Can you suggest where online to buy a new strap as well as a camera bag. Maybe a small business from etsy? I'm looking for something fun and comfortable. Share pictures if you have something you love!

I have an extra long camera strap I got many years ago from Etsy....
This is mine, but sadly this shop does not have any items anymore. I LOVE my strap.

Highly recommend an extra long strap, so you can wear it cross body.

I have a camera bag from here that is super cute. They look like a purse. They also have straps but I don't have one of theirs.

Congrats on the new to you camera!!

My camera strap is bright pink and made from a climbing rope. It's not fun or cute but it's easy to see, and very sturdy. I do wish it was bit longer, I go cross body with it but a few more inches would be perfect.

As for camera bags, I have a problem. . . . I seem to collect bags to put my camera in. I have a large backpack that fits everything, including a tripod, and has room for a laptop and some clothing (it was my carry-on when I went away), I have a Roots backpack that I put a divider in, it carries about 3 lenses, I have a mini Herschel backpack that will carry my camera, phone and keys. Apparently, I like backpacks

WOO HOO! New camera happy-dance!

They're not cheap, but I swear by BlackRapid's cross-body Camera Slings. https://www.blackrapid.com/all/camerastraps/

Especially if you're shooting on the go, it's the best way to secure your camera to you and it's incredibly comfortable. Zero neck strain, even when I carry my big pro body with the grip and my 70-200mm f/2.8 behemoth lens. They even have one specifically designed for a woman's body: https://www.blackrapid.com/nicole-el...by-blackrapid/

If my camera isn't on my sling, it's because I'm shooting with my hand-grip and camera holster. I saw this at a Click Away Conference and it rocked my socks off. Not to mention I feel like a photography cowboy when I wear it.

Camera bags... I've tried probably well over a dozen over the years. The bag my gear lives in and travels in is my LowePro Pro Roller x200. Hands-down, my favorite camera bag ever.

https://www.lowepro.com/global/pro-r...w-lp36698-pww/

But that's because I lug around multiple camera bodies and big lenses. LowePro makes amazing bags and they do a fantastic job protecting your gear.

I own a ShootSac https://www.shootsac.com/ and it's indispensible for location shoots with more than one lens, but it's more like a shooting tool than a camera bag. It holds your lenses, not your camera..

I bought a Tote & Shoot Camera Bag from Shootsac ... do not recommend. It's a cool idea, but in the end your camera ends up getting massively squished by everything in the tote and while it's easy to get your camera out, it's tough to put it back in.

For activity shoots, like on a hike or city tour, I'm a big fan of my Slingshot. A sling-style bag allows you to keep it attached to your body, across your shoulder, but rotate the bag so it's in front of you and get your gear in and out on the go. Perfect for safely changing lenses and easily putting your camera in and out of the bag while keeping it secure - which is super important for travel. A bag that's off your body is a bag a thief can grab.

Again, congrats on your new camera - and happy shooting!

I totally agree with this recommendation! I will never use another strap. My neck would ache after one day at Disney... but with this strap I can carry my big camera all day every day of the trip with no issues. Great for hiking too.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I had to LOL when I saw the camera holsters! Very cool! The camera slings are also pretty awesome! I never really thought of that, but my neck would probably hurt after carrying it all day, too, so that would be a great option for days when I will have to carry it all day. I really like all of these suggestions! So many choices!!
