MoS - the Shape Shifter & Traditionalist challenges

I haven't even started my entries yet. They both feel like challenges to me even though I always considered myself a traditionalist.

Who's playing along? What are your thoughts?

I'm doing the Traditionalist. That's my usual style, but the photo requirements (# and size) are making it feel like more of a challenge than it should.

I'm with you Holly! I thought I'd be good at Traditionalist, but I'm actually finding that to be the most difficult yet ... and Rachel, I agree about the photo size criteria is what makes this a true challenge!

I'm really looking forward to the Shapeshifter, but I need to take some pictures, as I'm not really happy with anything I have in my arsenal.

The requirements for each challenge definitely tend to be the hard part for me, which then makes me over think the entire thing.

I've lost my momentum. I'll probably do the Traditionalist, though it does make my brain hurt to think through all the requirements.

I just did the Traditionalist one. I was overthinking it at first, but just started going with the flow. I will have a harder time with the shapeshifter one.

That's what I thought, the sizes are HUGE!! But I made it work and scrapped mine before I went to bed Sunday night. I figured with us going to GWL this weekend I better finish up the other one so I quickly made work of that one on Monday morning! I didn't find it too challenging, unlike last weeks. But I also maybe didn't give my 110% this week due to so much happening!

I have FINALLY finished my traditionalist layout with about 20 minutes to spare. I like how it turned out, but this was my hardest one by far. Most of the photo arrangements I tried either looked boring or didn't leave me much room to embellish and journal. If nothing else, this competition is making me very grateful for template designers, LOL!

I did both of my layouts yesterday. I was not very happy with either of them if I'm being honest but my brain was fried and not working lol. I literally did probably 3 separate layouts for each challenge before I committed to one.

Great layouts ladies! I love them all. They all have special details on them.

My Traditional page ended up being a lot easier for me to design than I expected. I had a couple different concepts I thought about, but once I committed to my page, it went pretty quickly.

With the Shapeshifter, I started several completely different pages before coming up with something I liked. I was going to do a Seattle montage, but just wasn't happy with it, then I thought about doing the beach, but I saw a lot of other beach-themed pages, so I went with something totally different.
