Default Class Reunion

Well, I just got the info on my 20th HS Reunion. I didn't go to the 10th because mom was in the middle of chemo and so the timing stunk (plus I didn't really want to go anyway LOL).

I was considering going this year, but again the timing kind of stinks. But the price...yikes...$85 for one person for what looks to amount to a finger food buffet/reception? I would like the classmate book, but hate to fork over that much money.

Just a whine/gripe/vent. I'm done now.

That does suck! I doubt I'll go to mine, too much baggage, but I'd love to see everyone!

I haven't gone to one since my 5th. I find them boring, lol. It was a very small class and most are still around here, so who needs updates, lol.
That does sound like an exorbitant amount of money for a buffet.

I skipped my 10 year due to bad timing too (was getting married the next weekend and I don't live close to where I grew up). I didn't feel like I missed out on a darn thing. LOL The people I really care about I see/talk to on a regular basis...I'd save the $85 and do something fun with it instead.

I didn't go to my 10th either but now my 20th is this year. DANG! 20 years! Blech, I'm old. I remember my mother going to her 10th. lol Anyway, I might actually be home when the reunion takes place and if so, I may go. Funny thing is though, most of my friends in school were a year or two below me. LOL The people from my class that I care to see I'm still in touch with anyway.

I'm wishy-washy on going. I'm talking to old friends online anyway. It's about 460 miles from here to Houston...a long way to go...but it's also 2 days after my mom's 60th birthday, and I wanted to go down there for that...so if I'm going to be down there anyway....

Oh I don't know...I am seriously the Queen of Indecision. But I do have 6 whole months to debate in my head LOL.

My 10 year is going to be this summer something, their suppose to be voting on the date tomorrow. We're planning on going and doing Disney too since I'm from Florida. $85 is a lot of money though.

I went to my 10th (in 2003! )and it was a lot of fun. I moved away right after HS, so I'd only seen a select few friends since. But there were so many people I'd been a little friendly with and lost track of. It was also interesting to go back and see how much the social structure had changed. The old cliques were meaningless, and people were socializing with people they'd have ignored back in HS.

If the $85 was for me AND DH, that'd be one thing...but dang...that's $170 bucks for us both to go (and for the socializing kind of thing, you take a spouse, right?!!!)
I guess I shouldn't be surprised...the 10th was $60pp...and they had a golf tourney and dance (snore on both IMO).

*sigh*
