This makes me sooooo MAD!!
My daughter called me from school around lunchtime and asked if she had left a bag full of candy here (reese's cups, M & M's, gummies etc). She said she really did not think she had taken them into our house last night and I had not seen them and we werent at home at the time so I told her Id look for them and then asked her what they were for. She said it was a fundraising thing for National Honor Society and she thinks one of the other kids that were in the car with her last night stole them. All of the kids who were in the car she has known since elementary school!! She is now a junior in high school (so around about 10 years of being friends) They basically grew up together!! So she asks one of them and she said no she didnt take them. Then she had a different friend of hers ask the other one if he was selling candy and he said yes he was. She told the principal and he is going to check his locker and see if he has the candy. Im seriously ticked off right now because there were only four people in the car last night. The driver (a friend of all three kids), my daughter and this boy and girl who are brother and sister. Even if the girl did not take the candy she had to have known her brother did. It is not a huge amount of money (40 dollars worth of candy so probably 40 packages Im guessing?) but still they are supposed to be friends...what kinda friend steals from you??

Aww, ruin a friendship over $40 worth of candy. That's sad.

I know...40 dollars isnt a huge amount. I just cannot believe someone would do something like that to a friend. The other guy offered to pay for half because he feels bad about it and since it happened when he was giving them all a ride home he said he feels partially responsible too.

That's terrible! I don't understand how kids can be so dishonest. Riley had her lunch money stolen a couple weeks ago by one of the kids in her class... but nobody would own up to it. Her teacher gave her money so she could eat and I had to pay her back. UGH!

They have a serious stealing problem at my daughters school so it really should not surprise me. I kinda think it is a good lesson for her because she needs to learn to not be so trusting. I just talked to her again and they still havent figured out who stole it. The principal checked the boys locker who she thought it was but it was not there. That doesnt mean he didnt already sell them all or eat some/sell some or even left it at home. She told me she had already sold some and had some cash in the bag as well. Since she started high school she had her Ipod and her cell phone stolen as well as someone broke into her locker and stole her lunch one day. Ive talked to the principal and he just tells me everytime unless he knows who did it he cant do a thing about it
