Default Name help!

I am getting a kitten in 8 weeks - she was born a few days ago. She's a gift to me from my hubby - I graduated from college in October, and we've just been waiting till the perfect kitten was born. And she has been! Originally we thought we were going to be getting a male and my daughter suggested the name Rory, which we all fell in love with. But now that it's a girl, my daughter doesn't think that Rory is a girl name. I don't know, I kinda love it for either sex. LOL

Anyways, trying to think of other suggestions that we can mull over for the next 8 weeks in anticipation. LOL

The thing is, it has to start with R because we have a dog named Raven and a cat named Ruby, so their new sister has to have an R name too! LOL

Help!!! I don't mind unique and different and even if it's not traditionally a name but a thing that would make a cute name. Does that make sense? LOL

Isn't it? I think it's so perfect! But at 10 years old, she thinks mom is bonkers for suggesting it's a girls name too! LOL

I love the name Rory. I think it could be for both boy and girl. So I would keep it as well.

Or how about Roxy? It looks/sounds a bit like Rory and I know a girl dog who's name is Roxy.

I was thinking about Roxy too, if in the end she won't go with Rory. I think both are so sweet for a kitty.

It's not the great picture but she updates photos as they get bigger/older. She is a Maine Coon Kitten. I wish she wasn't two hours away cause I'd totally do a newborn photo shoot with her. LOL This is going to be a looooooooooong 8 weeks! LOL

So cute! I don't even want a pet and my husband's allergic to cats, but that picture almost had me ready to research adopting a kitten. I have to vote for Rory because of the Gilmore Girls connection. If it helps, tell your daughter it's a nickname for Lorelai. If you can't convince her, there are lots of other cute suggestions here.

Erin!! You don't even know how jealous I am of you right now. Having a Maine Coon is on my bucket list! Seriously...my friends could tell you I talk about this all the time! I'm going to be living vicariously through you from now on.

My mom has a main coon! He's huge! They're very mischievous kitties but I"ve always wanted one! I too will be living vicariously through you!

I really like Rory regardless if it's a boy or a girl! I think that flows nicely with the animals that you already have!!
