Default Gemma is so flippin' bald!!

I have a bunch of friends with little girls around Gemma's age (25 months) and younger and she is by far the baldest out of all of them. They have all had piggies at least once. I made a page of her first year today and she went from basically bald with barely any hair to... basically bald with barely any hair She has started to get hair but it's not growing in very fast and dang it all, i just wanna put piggies in her hair!!!! is that too much to ask?!

This was on May 3rd of this year.. you can see what I mean. My patience is running thin

Aawwww just wait till you can put it up with pretty clips. She's a little sweetie ♥

I know it seems odd but one of the best ways to thicken it up is to trim off the ends. It's amazing what a difference it can make!

Mine have all been so different. My #1 was so bald till almost 2 that a camera flash would shine on his head. But my #3 has SO much hair that I could put it in a ponytail. He actually doesn't mind his sisters clips lol.

You were my first thought, too!

My kids were backwards, too. My daughter's hair came in veeeery slow. My son had long curls. Man, I miss those curls.

I wish I could say I feel your pain but both DS and DD had a ton of hair from the time they were born - DD was born 2 months early and still had tons of black curly hair!

I agree - trimming the ends makes a big difference and will help it grow and thicken up a bit

I was bald until I was 2, and then my hair started coming in. Now I've got tons! There's still hope!

Aww she is a little cutie! I didn't think my daughter's hair would ever grow. I think she was a little over 2 years old before I was able to give her any type of pigtails or even put bows in her head. Until then, it was just headbands and now she has way too much hair.

I love bald babies! Both my girls were pretty much bald until they were three. When they finally had some hair neither one was much for hair dos, they weren't very cooperative when it came to pony tails and barrettes and bows etc. Now they have a TON of super thick hair, it's everywhere LOL

Both of my girls have really slow growing hair. And because they were blond, it looked even worse as babies.

My dd was the same way up until she was 3. Don't feel bad it happens.

haha sorry

And we've trimmed her hair so that it was all the same length before. It did help, but now it's growing at different rates again. I don't think I can bring myself to cut it again! I also totally see her as the type to rip out the piggies the second they're in too I HATED my hair being done as a kid and she is a lot like me

I was thinking the same! And then I was like......wow, that is harsh. lol Gemma (grown up one), I am glad you are not bald. As for Little Gemma.....hopefully her hair will start growing soon and you can have lots of girly hair fun with her.

I know what you're going through!!

My oldest was BALD until she was TWO! I still remember the day when I could could STRETCH (the little bit of hair she had) into two pony tails. I had to wet it and put in tons of hairspray. LOL

Now she's almost 14 and has hair for days! It will happen

I hope it happens soon! But my DD has never been one for cute hairstyles. She loves dresses and skirts, but if she had her way she'd have super short hair. Don't think she's ever kept a pony tail or barrette in longer than 20 minutes, and she's 5.

this is one of my boys at one and one of my girls at one...my boys always had much more hair than the girls, drove me crazy, lol!

One of girls hair still grows crazy uneven and is super slow (the one that want princess hair, haha!) & the other one has mostly one length & super long (that hates it when it's time to brush it!)...

Have to agree with the advice given here. My mom trimmed my sister's and my hair when we were babies--and both of us have super crazy thick hair. I had really fine sparse hair as a baby.

I use to live next to some Hawaiian people and they always shave their babies heads at a year to help it grow in. I've done that with all 3 of my kids and it helped with my oldest but not my other two, lol

I saw the title and thought "oh no. what happened?" Glad everything is ok with you.

To little Gemma's mom, I can't give any advice since our family has babies with lots of dark hair (so much that one brother-in-law started cutting the boys' hair as newborns ). My experience with friends who have bald babies is that it does come in.

If you can't do pigtails will she wear a stretchy headband?

Either way, she is still a cutie.

Yep...I've known lots of bald little girls!! When I was little my mom taped a bow to my head because everyone thought I was a boy! (This was in the 60's before they invented cute girly headbands!) Oh...and I have hair now! LOL! And I did lots of piggy tails when I was in preschool!

Cole didn't have any amount of real hair until he was over two. Cade's hair is so blond he looks bald. He does have a little but, you can't tell at all lol!

I actually have a photo of me with a bow taped to my little bald head! My daughter had the same issue and has really long hair now that grows and grows. Hers was straight and still is, my son had the sweet little curls...

My first daughter had even less hair than yours! And she was a total blondie, which made it worse . . when I managed to scoop up little pigtails they looked like paint brush bristles!!! She still had very little hair when she started school . . now she is almost 17 and her hair is so darn thick and lustrous you would never believe she was a baldy when she was little hahaha
