Switch to Mac?
Hey everyone! Haven't been around for quite a while but am hoping to get back in the swing of things. Going to play the Summer Games to give me a boost.
Anyway, I have a question for those of you who have switched from PC to Mac. I've used CS3 forever and have both a PC and now a Mac. I've only ever used a PC for scrapping but wonder if it would be worth purchasing CS for the Mac and switching over. I figure since I feel like I'm learning all over again...maybe I should just start over completely? |

I would totally do it! Macs are easy to learn and a quick google search will explain anything you need help with. Do you have someone in your family that qualifies for an educational discount? If so, that would really help with the cost of CS6. Good luck. You won't regret going to a Mac.

I'm not sure I totally get what you're asking. Are you saying you have a Mac but not a Mac version of Photoshop for it? I'm not sure why you wouldn't buy a Mac version for it? Other than the shortcuts being a little different (Cmd vs Ctrl, etc), Photoshop works pretty much the same on a Mac or PC so the switch wouldn't really be that different.

I think it's all a matter of cost. If you can afford to PS, then I would probably recommend the switch. Are you only using your PC for scrapping these days? I transitioned from a MAC to a PC and went from CS3 to CS5. The differences in the versions are mostly extra features, so there really isn't much transition time associated with a newer version (IMO).

well - i vote to switch over but i am a die-hard mac girl as lynnette said, photoshop works similarly for both platforms, so i think you just need to decide which of your computers you prefer to work on and go from there.
