Default Lorie! You opened a can of worms lol

Ok so this is a first try, and I had a fight with the foliage and the glitter (the glitter won ... we're going to have to move now as we're never going to get it all cleaned up).

I wasn't sure how to get everything to 'stand up' as the little signs were so thin ...

This will actually be a gift for my mother-in-law, now I'm thinking I need one!

It's beautiful. You did a great job.

As far as the thin signs go, you can buy cute little easel on etsy to put them on. I swear I have them in every color. LOL

I always watch for the "width" of things because I like for mine to be able to stand on their own, but some are so cute, I have to get them and use the easel.

LOL, on the glitter. Some of the things for the shower were glittery and I agree, to get rid of it, I will have to move.

I gave a tier tray to my sister as a gift and now she has two of them. LOL It can be addictive, but so fun.

I swear all the gift cards I got for my birthday are going to be spent on tier tray stuff. Or decorations for the holidays. Or on the baby. Really, I could probably combine it all and really have some fun. A holiday baby tier tray. LOL

That looks awesome Trina!!!!!!

I love the look of them, but I don't have the time, patience, or the OCD for the glitter....rofl....
so NOW I think I need to PAY someone to make them for me.

I don?t like glitter either but couldn?t find non-Christmasy foliage in our small town to add to it lol. I now need to figure out how to wrap this thing?

Wrap it? OMG, I can't imagine. Not matter what you do, things will fall off. I would take it, leave it in the car, have your hubby distract your MIL, and then get it out and set it up someplace and let her "unwrap" it with her eyes. Or else package it all up and let her put it together herself.

For my sister I gave her the different parts as gifts and left it up to her how she placed them. She puttered with it and became addicted too.

That is so cute! It looks like so many decisions, though; I think it would make me feel really stressed to decorate.

I bought a kit! It included all the themed elements, I just had to get the foliage and a couple extra things to fill it in.

There are a ton of sets available that make it easy to do. The fun for me is mixing and matching.

I did my Thanksgiving one last night and played around for a bit, maybe longer than I normally would since I was without electronics. The lawn guy cut my internet cord, which is also how I get TV and Phone, so I literally didn't have anything else to do. Letting the tier tray take up my time and attention really helped pass the time.

I have learned some good resources along the way. If anyone is interested, I will be happy to share them.

Love it Trina! I have a tray that I decorate from time to time - it sets on the kitchen counter. Currently, it's all dolled up for Christmas. They are so fun!

So for anyone that does tier trays or wants to do one, Hobby Lobby is having a great sale on Fall Clearence, 75% off, and Christmas stuff at 50% off. I went yesterday and things that people are selling for mucho money on Esty are dirt cheap there. I like Esty for original things, but when I can go someone where and buy the same thing for a lot less, I'm there.

Another thing I wanted to mention and forgot to, is that with tier trays it is all about layering, just like scrapbooking, so make sure you get risers, mini cake trays, etc, for things to sit on. You want to have different levels so that everything can be seen and also to create "texture" for lack of a better word.

You can shop on line too. My sister was arguing with me yesterday that Hobby Lobby doesn't have an online store, but they do.

https://www.hobbylobby.com/

Granted, there are more choices in the actual store here, but if you see something you want that is not in the store, let me know and I will check out the physical store here for you. If it is there, I will pick it up and send it to you.
