Default What kind of camera do you use...

to capture your memories?
I always have my iPhone in my pocket for all of those quick unexpected moments. I carry a Canon Powershot in my purse for better photos when I'm on the go, but find some things I think are photo worthy. Then I have a Nikon D5200 (which I still shoot on auto, but absolutely LOVE) that I use when I know I'm going to want to take pictures.

A big clunky DSLR - Canon EOS 600D most of the time. If I know I'm likely to be taking photos (even just a trip to the park down the street), I'll take it with me. Nothing else I have (i.e. phone, small point & shoot) compares when it comes to quality/resolution and I've been using SLRs for so long now (before they were digital) that it doesn't bother me lugging it around. I use my phone if I don't have my DSLR with me though, for random, spur of the moment pics.

I always have my Rebel T3 with me. I'm used to having a "big" camera at all times, ever since I was about 10 years old. My father was big time into photography and we had several Canons growing up and even a dark room in our house to develop photos, so from early age I was dragging an SLR around with me everywhere I use my phone rarely because even though has a decent camera the photos never satisfy me.

I always have my iPhone 5 on me and use it for many snapshots, especially in harsh lighting in the middle of the day. When we're somewhere scenic or at a time with good lighting, I'll bring my Canon 5d mII dSLR.

I have my 5s on me at all times and probably take 95% of my photos on it. I have a smaller Canon that I sometimes throw in my purse. I also have a bigger, better point and shoot that's my serious picture camera. I'll be taking it with us on vacation next week.

My Galaxy S4 for most everyday photos and an Olympus E-PM1 (mirrorless camera) for more significant events or when I want to get some nicer photos.

Iphone 5 for on the go... used probably the most just because I have dropbox set up and it's automatically on my phone when we hit home. The Canon G12 for my point and shoot... and Canon Rebel is around, too... both those are stationed in different parts of the home so that I always have a camera on hand.

I use a Canon 600d (t3 I think?) at home or if we take a trip, etc. I also have a Canon Powershot S100 that's always in my bag (I use it if I take the kids to the park, etc). On the rare occasion that I'm somewhere without either camera, I have a Samsung Galaxy S3, which takes a decent enough photo (although it couldn't compare to either of my cameras).

I did have an samsung galaxy s3 as my phone for most day to day stuff, however when that got broken I had no option but to replace it with a crappy cheapo phone which has a super crappy camera so most of my photos at the moment are either old ones from my s3 or 4s and for more significant events that I know I'll want to scrap for I try to use my Nikon Coolpix L820 which may I add, doesn't satisfy me in the slightest anymore. I blame you all for having super amazing sharp photos in your LO's for making me want/need better photos!

I have a galaxy s5 for my phone, I adore it, best phone camera on the market and you can use it underwater. My big girl camera is a 7D and I love it but I want some new lenses for it.

a canon rebel. I need an upgrade bad. I'm really feeling its limits when I'm trying to capture images of my kids and want to take it a step further, but I'm too broke to make the leap!

I use my iphone, but hate the quality, espesially if it's even remotely dark. I love my Finepix SL 1000 but don't have a good camera bag for it so don't take it with me very often.

Most of the photos I scrap are from my iPhone 5 or my daughters' and my son's Windows phone. I've been using a lot of his GoPro cameras from his summer job. If we are home, the Nikon D90 sits out where it's accessible at any point. If I'm home, I TRY to grab it because the photos are nice and sharp.

When I want nice pictures, I use my Canon 5D Mark II. On the go, sometimes I use my iPhone 4, but the pictures are pretty crappy.

All this reading about peoples different grown up cameras has got me looking into getting myself a Canon. Currently looking at a 1100D. I like the fact that if I got that, I can buy different lenses!

I use a 18-55mm zoom lens with my DSLR most of the time - 55mm is good for portraits and 18mm is wide enough for landscapes. I also have a 75-300mm zoom - its good for wildlife, shooting from the sidelines of my kids' soccer games, etc. And I have a tiltable external flash for indoors (bouncing it off the ceiling usually works best/minimises shadows).

I use my Galaxy S4 for on the go shots. For the rest, I use my Canon 5d. I have too many lens but they all serve a purpose 50 1.4 about 75% of the time, 90 2.8, lensbaby and my newest - a Sigma 150-500 for mainly sports shots. I sold my 70-200L f/4 lens for that baby but it was a necessary purchase

I have an older Canon Rebel xti. Love my 50mm lens. We also have a few P&S's in the family. Many times I end up using either my iPhone 5 or 5c. iPhones seem pretty temperamental if the lighting isn't just right IMO, so many times I'm disappointed.

I have a nikon d80 that I don't use as much these days after I've dropped and banged it around one too many times. I love my lens too - just a cheapo 50mm 1.8 but it's almost 11 years old and I think needing to be replaced!

I shoot with my 50 mm 1.4 almost 100% but I do like to use my 35 mm too. I really really REALLY REALLY want a 70-200 for when we go to zoos, but our money always has other places to go... like you know, food

The 1.8 is a good starter, it's about $100.

My 30mm 2.8 is on my camera 99% of the time. Love it! I have 2 zooms that came with the camera, but they aren't very good, especially indoors. I'd love a good zoom, but everything available for my camera is expensive.

I have 2 point-and-shoots, Canon PowerShot S100 and Canon PowerShot G1X. Both have manual controls, but G1X has a huge chip, so it takes better photos.

I mostly use the small one though, carry it around everywhere, it's ultralight and pictures are great. When I know I'm going to take pics, I take the G1X.

I had a DSLR ages ago, but I opted for smaller, lighter cameras. These days the upper-level P&S can take great pics (often better than lower-level DSLRs), so there is no need to hurt one's back with carrying a monster (I mean that for myself, my neck was really suffering) or not being able to take pics because you didn't take the monster with you. :-)

Just for illustration, I found this comparison of G1X and 7D: http://dpinterface.com/2012/03/12/ca...th-comparison/

I use my Nikon D3200. The lens I use the most is the 50mm but, I also have the 18-55mm and 55-200mm. One of these days I will actually get to sit down and play without using auto.
