i generally make mine no wider than 450 px. people with slower internet connections and all....
plus, image heavy pages make my computer not happy.

Yeah, mine is huge, too. I didn't know how big to make it, and by the time it was up, I was too exhausted with it to try making a new, smaller version. Next time, yeah?

Not to mention those of us who like to browse on our phones. I had to turn siggies off forever ago because they'd gotten so out of control. It'd be like a tiny line of text and then a giant image to scroll through, haha.
