Your Vote???
I am honestly just curious as to how we are made up here at our digi scrap home, donkeys vs elephants... I DO NOT want this to turn into a war thread at all, I know we are all above that... I am really just curious to see, so I am not going to even post about my choice, I will just vote, in the poll, play along for fun, if you want!!!
PLEASE ALSO GET OUT AND VOTE TOMORROW, VOTE FOR WHOEVER YOU SUPPORT, BUT PLEASE JUST VOTE!!!

I mailed in my ballot last week... and I've been so nervous ever since. I always knew who my choice was, but I'm stressing over the outcome. I really feel like this is THE most important election in my lifetime (so far) and I'm very worried about what will happen if the person I chose does not get elected.

I'm pretty sure I wear my candidate plastered across my forehead, lol. (San Francisco Bay Area Liberals over here.... >.<)
We're going to the local school first thing in the morning, we're both really anxious over here, too. Definitely the biggest election of my lifetime, as well, I totally agree.

I voted early-last week in fact, but I'm a nervous wreck and have been since last night.
I prayed for peace last night before going to bed-but I dreamed about politics all night-I will be happy when the polls close and a concession speech has been made. This election is an emotional roller coaster like none other than I can remember in my lifetime.

I didn't sleep well. I prayed a lot. I'm so tired of worrying and stressing over this so I tried very hard to let it go and put it all in God's hands last night. I have a doc appt this morning and then will stop to vote afterwards. I just want it to be over.

I'm with Shawna, I went against my usual party choice (I voted yesterday), and I was definitely stressed over the decision. I was still undecided when I got to the polls. I ended up going with my gut when I stepped in the booth.

I had a really hard time with my choice, too. I'm typically Republican (but have many democratic opinions), and thought long and hard about my decision. I ended up voting for McCain, mainly because of his military experience. I will be happy with either candidate winning, though. I NEVER say that.

Voting was tough for us this year. We figured it out that in our family, we had 5 people vote one way and 5 vote the other. So basically, our family doesn't count...lol! We did pretty much stick together on our local and state elections. I'll be so interested when the numbers start coming in...this is a historic day, that's for sure.

I'm not going to vote for another couple hours. My presidential choice isn't on this poll
I'm still dithering on who to vote for for Senator and apparently there are 3 amendments to the state constitution on the ballot I heard nothing about until we went online over the weekend to see the ballot and I cannot find anything about them anywhere online. |

For me, I'm more nervous over Prop 8 in California than I am over the candidates...I think that Prop 8 will have a more lasting effect.
Best of luck to all Americans today!!

I'm waiting until this afternoon to vote so that my kids can go with me and see the process and be involved. Isn't it funny how much different our poll here is than the one at DST? LOL I think parts of me let my brain be convinced that what was decided at DST was what would be decided in our country because it seems so big and so many people are going one way there...isn't that funnY? when the people "polled" at DST are really just a drop in the bucket of a nation of people? It's amazing how our opinions and thoughts can be swayed.

We're headed to vote in a couple of hours once the on-their-way-to-work crowd has thinned out. I hate to rain on that parade, because I'd love to see an end to the division in this country, but no matter who wins, I don't think we're going to see unity in the country...voters are WAY too polarized on both sides. And considering the number of non-voting adults we have in this country, even the winning candidate doesn't receive a vote from the majority of the country. I think it's sad that so many people do not take the time to perform their civic duty. OK, ramble/vent over. |

I am so glad that this is almost over. It has been stressful but the choice was not stressful for me. I have convictions and they can't be bought. Now all that's left to do for me, is pray.

Here in Arizona we can early vote by mail which is what I did. I sent in my ballot about 2 weeks ago. I am so proud to see so many American get so involved in the process. That's what it's all about.... Whoever wins and becomes the next president will have my complete support. I don't want to see a divided America but a united one. I pray that the majority will feel as I do.

This is the first year since I could vote that I am not voting for "my" party. I won't get into detail. But I have a hunter for husband who owns guns for that reason. Nuff said.

Hey, you'd be in the super majority over at DST. LOL! At least people didn't leave you nasty comments or something. I think this year some folks have just gone insane, so try not to let it get to you. Hopefully all will be back to normal in scrapping land very soon. I sure hope so.

I went to vote this morning expecting a long line, but for my precinct, I walked right in. I think a lot of people voted early. The line for the next precinct, however, was filled with college students. There must have been at least 300 college kids standing in line. It was awesome seeing so many of them out early in the morning to vote!

i turned in my early ballot and was very happy with my choice this year. while i'm very nervous for todays results i know Jesus still holds this country and my family in His hands so really i have nothing to be fearful over! whoever wins i will continue to pray for, that they will do what's best our nation and hold true to the values that made people run here in the first place over 200 years ago....FREEDOM!

I am also small business owner, and I believe the 2nd amendment is just as important as the rest. I am leaving in 15 minutes to go vote for the candidate who will fight to uphold ALL of my constitutional rights.
Wish me luck, we don't have early voting, and dh said the line for our last name was moving v.e.r.y slow.

I will be heading to the polls later today. I hope the lines aren't too long since I will have little ones in tow with me! I am just thankful I live in a country where I am able to have my voice heard and have a vote! I have been so worried about this election. I finally just stopped watching all the news and have just put my trust in God. Thankfully, I serve a God whom is much bigger than presidents and who is in control even when things look so yucky!!!!

I will be voting later today. I just hope that I feel better by then. Got sick on Sunday and I started to feel better then I started feeling sick again last night and got up this morning and still felt bad. Have a feeling some of that is connected to the election because the person Id like to see elected I just have a feeling he will not be and I think that is the worst thing that will happen here (just my opinion)

I voted early this morning. Got the kiddos all up, fed, and ready for school and then stopped and voted on my way to dropping them off at school. Then met my sis and her hubby for breakfast and talked a little politics. LOL! It was a breeze going through my little country precinct. I was able to get right in and vote. It will be interesting to see how it all ends.

I got to the polling place for my precinct at 6:20am this morning (they opened at 6:30am). Waited in line until 8am before getting to vote - I was only voter #54 that day and there had to be at least 100+ behind me in that little church. In our county, each precinct only gets 4 booths so the line took forever. My DH is glad he voted absentee ballot last week, with his bad back.
I'm hoping my candidate will win, but I am sure there will be voting issues and lawsuits arising from this election for the next few weeks, no matter who wins (unless it's a complete landslide one way or the other). We get a little upset with my FIL who complains about the government but never votes in any elections - our feeling is if you don't vote you can't complain! Though I hear they expect 80% voter turnout this year - I've never heard it that high!!! I don't think any candidate will make huge changes - we would have to have a whole revamp of the senate and Congress in a couple years for that to happen. Get rid of the cronies that are stuck in this idea of not working together because of party lines. I hope that whichever candidate wins, they can work with the "loser" in the Senate and bridge the Democrat-Republican gap. And no matter who wins, we'll have history made - either the first black president or the first female vice-president!

I voted last week.... to be honest, I wasn't thrilled with EITHER candidate. I just kinda chose the one I thought was the lesser of two evils. I'm really scared where our country is headed and I really am not sure either of them have the solutions. ANYWAYS, the only thing that really made me feel good was voting on a proposition in my state that is soooo very important. And I'm glad this will all be over soon. I hate talking politics.

I really struggled with who to vote for, I plan on going this afternoon. I'm one of those weirdo swing voters and I didn't make up my mind until Thursday after I just sat down and went through the issues one by one.

I am back already! I was in & out of the polling place in less than 20 mins.
I even had an opportunity to express my displeasure to our State Rep regarding his negative campaigning (he claimed not to be responsible). But I was happy to get it off my chest
