Talk to me about phones
Mine went in the laundry machine today
 What do you have? I picked up the samsung S8 but i'm wondering if I should have got the google pixel 2 instead.. does anyone here have that phone?

I never have the newest or latest-greatest of anything, so the S8 seems pretty fantastic to me. LOL. And, like you, I don't really know about phones. They all kind of seem the same-ish to me. Mostly, I look at the camera because that's what I use the most.

I just had to get a new phone today! My old one was having a hard time charging couldn’t hold a charge for long, so we went in to get a diff battery but my
Phone (inside my otter box) was bent!! It was crazy! They couldn’t get the battery out so I had to get a new one. Just got an iPhone 7 because it was the cheapest not cheap one they had

Kristin, if I were you, I'd get the Pixel 2. I've been a Nexus user (Google phones) for quite some time and I can definitely say those are the best in terms of OS. You always get the latest updates and pure Android version first because you know, Android is Google and Google make it available to their phones immediately.
With the Pixels now having (some of) the best cameras, I think they're the best Android choice. Only downfall is the price...to me, Pixels are overpriced as are the iPhones.

I switched to the iPhoneX just before Christmas, my old one had issues and I wanted a better camera as I mainly use my phone to take pictures now. The X was the right size (I have too small hand for the iPhone plus versions) and the camera is great. With phones as with computers I can never go back to android or Microsoft. I’m Apple all the way now. And I love that my pictures are automatically uploaded into my Mac so I save time when I scrap since my pictures are already there.

Samsung is a good choice but that's because I'm a Samsung person rather than iPhone lol. The S8 is meant to be really good!!
I'm nearly done with my S7 edge contract and I'll be going to the S9 plus in 2 months time and I can not wait  I was going to keep my S7 to keep costs down but I scratched the screen and it looks grubby so I'm treating myself to the new phone once I've had the baby

IJUST BOUGHT A PIXEL 2!! I am soooo excited! I've never actually purchased a smart phone; I always inherit my parents' hand me downs. But recently my dad got my mom's hand me down and she got his upgrade, which leaves me out in the cold. One of my favorite photographers, Trey Ratcliff, posted a review of the Pixel 2 that led me to bite the bullet and buy it. I won't get it till May (because it's coming out with a friend), but I cannot wait!
But I'm sure you'll love your Samsung, too...

sorry about that accident! it happened to me too some time ago.. it sucks, but yay for a chance to buy a new phone!
I will be not much help though I guess as I don't have either of those you named.. I have Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and I am very happy with it

Thanks guys! I think I might stay with the s8.. I have a bit to decide for sure. My husband and I actually share a phone but thankfully he doesn't really care what it does or doesn't do. haha. I'm still mad though, I wanted the phone I had to last at least another year.

Sorry for the laundry accident! I'm no help with any phone other than an iPhone - I'm an Apple sheep and proud of it
 My coworker just got one with rounded edges though and hates it, she can't type on it because of the edges. Something to check out to make sure before you buy it

We're cheap
My daughter (she's the newest one to get a phone) just got an iPhone 6 (16gb memory). I've had an iPhone 6s (32gb memory) for the last two years. My husband broke his phone and they gave him an upgraded iPhone 7 (128gb memory  ) I've never owned an android and don't know anything about them. Can you try googling reviews about the phone?

I decided to stick with the S8 and i'm pretty happy!
Wendy i'm pretty cheap too - this was a cheap option under our contract and my husband and I share a phone LOL!

I have the S9+ I love it but it's a little too big for my baby hands. Next time I'll stick with the regular size. But I love the camera and all features. Such a huge step up from the S7 I had.

I’m an Apple junkie so iPhone for me, Doug has a galaxy 8 and I hate it but that’s pro because I’m so use to iPhones. I have an iPhone 8 Plus 128G right now but always want the newest out ;P holding off on an upgrade is killing me but I love this phone so I see no real reason to upgrade at this point.

This was bumped up so I just wanted anyone who was wondering to know this is not just yet another bad thing that happened to me recently.. this was at the beginning of the year when life was just starting to go downhill for me :P
I ended up getting the s8 back then and have been happy with it lol

I have the Note 8 and LOVE mine! I think when it's time to upgrade I'll go back to the Galaxy as I was not as impressed with the Note 8 as they had made it all out to be but that depends on how the new Note 9 fares. I have also had Galaxy's since the S3 and have found it really hard to change.

Years ago, I went from a Samsung to an iPhone & loved it. I hate my dh's galaxy. I have the iPhone 6s and am happy with it. but I heard that apple may soon stop doing updates for the iPhone 6s. They already stopped for the iphone5, so I shouldn't be surprised the 6s will be next. I guess that's when I'll upgrade.

Sigh. I need a new phone in the worst way. LOL I'm still using a Samsung Galaxy S5. FIVE, people. I'm just too cheap to get a new one when this one still does the job.
