Default Introducing Our New Addition!!
Hi ladies! Guess whaaa-aaaat??

After 41 weeks & 1 day, I was finally induced and had my baby girl! Elora Emmalee came into the world on Sunday, March 27 after a fast (and crazy) delivery! I was induced at 1:55, asked for an epidural at 4:20 (I was 6 cm) which I received at 4:45, and I was pushing at just after 5 (my epidural didn't even have a chance to kick in by the time the baby was out, lol). She was born at 5:07, healthy & perfect. There was bruising on her face because she came so fast but that was gone after a couple days.

She was 8 lbs 3 oz (2 lbs heavier than her sister), & 22 inches long. She has an insane amount of hair - it's so thick and about 1.5 inches long, and sticks up all over the place! It's so cute & fluffy, lol! She has big eyes, which are probably going to be hazel like mine & her sisters (they are more of a brown than blue, like A's were). She looks SO much like her sister did that I keep thinking I warped back in time, lol!

We came home on Tuesday, and things have been going great. I am feeling awesome - I had no tearing so I'm not even sore (a huge difference from Avalynne - I had 2nd degree tears with her). Elora eats like a champ and sleeps up to 5 hours at a time (even at night) so we are getting a decent nights sleep every night, so I'm not living like a zombie (bonus!). Avalynne is adjusting really well too. She doesn't want much to do with the baby, but doesn't sass her or act jealous at all (of course, DH is making sure to spend lots of time with her while i tend to the baby). She still refuses to hold her or anything, so we are letting her take her time and not force her at the baby. Slowly she's warming up, and started sharing her toys with Elora today .

It's definitely a great date, hehe. And it's nice to hear about other people being both that day, so far I haven't heard about anyone! A friend of mine had both of her babies around that date, but they never came to the world on the 27th. One came early (24th) and one late (5th April). ;-) But spring is definitely a beautiful time to have a baby, happy for you.
