I like having a calendar, even though I rarely consult it.

I can go either way...my desktop is rarely showing anyway, so it's not really a big deal for me, lol...

My background has been the same photo (of Ryan Star) for nearly a year. If I need a calendar, I consult the one built in with the computer clock or Lightening.

I do not because I dont change mine very often so it looks dated quickly. If I want the calendar, I will just click on the time and get the calender.

I prefer not as well b/c I forget to change it and then the january desktop is still mocking my laziness in march. Not that my desktop is currently january or anything. Just saying.

Well I'll go even lazier than that... I prefer no calendar and no pics! LOL! I like the ones that are more clustery/artsy with no photo required.

This.

Last year I loved to use the ones from Smashing Magazine that they release every month. So if I can remember, I go there every so often and use one of those at home (sans calendar). But for the last 9432849032 months my work desktop BG has been one of my favorite photos of the Eiffel Tower from our honeymoon. I just do not get tired of looking at it! (My sister even made me send her the file and it's her laptop BG too, LOL!)

Either is fine with me - I choose more by colors and design than whether it has a calendar or not

I've not once changed my desktop background... if I need a calendar, I use either the computer on or google calendar.

Yes, this. In fact, this month I'm picking my desktop solely on the one that has spots for 3 photos. DD #2 was mad because she didn't make the desktop in March. It only had room for two photos. LOL

I took a picture of my kids in Fall 2008, and that is still my desktop background lol. I don't even care.

I appreciate it when it has the option of the calendar or not. I have a lot of things on my desktop and try to keep the right hand side clear so that I can use the pretty desktop that you all make. Having the calendar is great when I can see it, but just having the season or month theme is wonderful

I prefer a calendar, but it also requires regular maintenance. Maybe I should get one that has the entire year on it, lol.

I just have a plain desktop that came with the computer. I did the calendars for awhile, but I'm a wonderful combination of lazy and forgetful, so I was always behind and then that makes me feel like time is moving even faster than it already is because I'm all "Didn't I JUST change that?!?!"

So no, I don't have a calendar on my desktop.

I don't download the ones w/o a calendar... I use it all the time and yeah, I change mine out every month... though I like the ones w/o a picture... but it HAS to have a calendar.

I like one with a calendar and no photos. I got lazy to scrap & print a desktop calendar for myself so been making monthly desktops w/ calendars to compensate, lol.

Most of the time mine is just a picture since it's hard to find backgrounds to fit my desktop. Even so, I almost never even look at my background anyway.

Heather I was running into this too!! So I've actually started giving my "desktop" to whomever's birthday it is that month (we have birthdays in Jan, Feb, Apr, May, Sept, Oct, Nov...yes even DH and I get the desktop on our months )and then the remaining 5 months I just put a picture up with all 5 kids!!! That way no one gets their feelings hurt!!!
