Default How is your household holding up?

I'm about to loose my mind here First I was sick for almost three weeks, sicker then I have been in ages. I finally got over it and Eli got sick for a full weekend starting on a Thursday night through Sunday, I got him through it and back to school and my husband Doug got sick right after and was home from work a few days too. I was at dance comp all day Saturday returned home late that night to find out Eli is sick again... I want this gone! We just keep passing it around and I woke with a sore throat again. I'm so over the sickies going around here. I love a mild winter but do think it's also a curse, it just hasn't been cold enough to kill all the nasty bugs going around. How are things at your house are you all healthy and if so I'm so happy for you! This has been a rough winter for us we have had someone sick here for weeks.

Ugh, Ella, I feel you!
We just got over TWO weeks of sickness.
First, my husband Lan got a bad cold and it turned to the worst, he got pneumonia. Then... I got his cold, sore throat and fever AND managed to pass it to our son, Michael. He was out of school for one whole week because of the fever, ear infection and nasty cold.
Now, my MIL has also been sick and still sick with coughing and fever...

It has been sooooo exhausting!

I'm sorry you both have had the sickies in your households!

We're just fine here - not even a sniffle this winter, but that is the norm for us. Cheyanne's teammates and other friends have all been sick throughout the year since September but she's been fine

Oh goodness I hope all of you battling these germs are feeling better asap. We have faired better this winter than most, just a couple of days of stomach issues and some sinus stuff (very minor compared to most winters)

I'm so sorry. I have heard absolute horror stories about all the crud going around right now. Have you ever considered using essential oils? There's an immunity boosting blend I make my family slather on when there's an outbreak of stuff. I'm a bit paranoid!

We've been pretty good with staying healthy this winter, until last last week. Brian was coming down with something so he took NyQuil and that was the night I went into labor. Poor guy! He's been sick all week and the girls started coughing & complaining of congestion and sore throats yesterday. Hoping the baby & I stay healthy.

My son was out of school three days last week. My daughter was out of school two days last week. My hubby carpools to work and I had to drive an hour both ways to pick him up on Friday because he got the tummy bug, too. So, I had three pukers in the house. I'm so over cleaning up their vomit. Kids are heading back to school today and hubby is back at work. #crossingmyfingers

Fingers crossed...so far so good. No flu or colds here. I was a bit worried about getting sick b/c we didn't get our flu shots this past fall. We kept forgetting and then it got to the point where we figured it was too late to have any benefit, plus we had heard that the flu shot wasn't going to be as effective this year and there were other strains of flu going around that the shot didn't help.

Oh no! I hope it goes away soon!
I've had a cough and been congested for a couple weeks now. I thought it was allergies, but now, I'm leaning towards cold that won't quit!

Sorry everyone is so sick - not fun! Especially the puking. Yuck.

Definitely hoping you and the baby stay well Britanee!!!

I have one home from school with a cold/cough and another that I thought was over it but is sick again today. But it could be so much worse so not complaining!!

We were told the opposite that this year's shot was going to be more effective.

We've had a terrible winter! Ever since Thanksgiving we had colds off an on... passing them back and forth to each other. Then I got pneumonia, which was so terrible. I've never had it before... wow, it was miserable. Then hubby and I went to Disney and he picked up the flu. He is feeling better now, but coughing like crazy. Thankfully I haven't caught the flu or anything! We even sent the kids to my mom's house to keep them away from him when he was at his sickest. It's been such crazy weather... up and down in temps. We've also had a rough time with allergies. I attribute that to much of our illnesses.

Usually we are the healthiest family among our friends, they always seem to get sick more than us. We've made up for that this winter! LOL

I have to admit I am clueless when it comes to essential oils but I have heard a lot about them. Is there a site with info you could share?

I personally use doTERRA, but there are lots of options out there. The one my family uses for immunity support is called On Guard.

You're welcome! Let me know if you have any specific questions. I was skeptical about oils in the beginning, but they've been a game changer for my family. Good luck!

My gosh, you guys! No more sickies allowed!

My SIL sells and uses all the DoTerra oils. She swears by the On Guard blend!

I hope you all get over your bugs and feel better soon. Being summer we're all fine, but the bugs going around in the Northern Hemisphere winter usually make their way down here for our winter... can't wait for that to arrive (not!).

Ditto what Kim said. Considering what you're all saying, we're in for a doozy this winter. I hope you all start feeling better soon! It's tough when the sickies bounce around the family.
