Droid app suggestions
I came home from our cell shopping trip with a Motorola Droid. What apps do people like? What games? And I really really need a program to organize my music & podcasts. Any suggestions?

We were just talking about apps on another forum I'm on... here is a list of what was mentioned so far... Amazon: I use this to scan apps and see what user ratings are, if amazon has it cheaper, and to add things to the wish lists I keep for everyone (makes Christmas/Birthdays easier!) shaazam: listens to music playing and identifies it Google Goggles: scans logos and pulls up info on them Days Until: Fun app to keep a count down to important days Dictionary.com: self explanatory. Droidlight: Turns flash into a flashlight Google Sky Map: Fun app about the stars Mabilo Ringtones: Free ringtones Slacker Radio: Streaming music (good if you have an unlimited data plan) OI safe: password keeper The Weather Channel Weatherbug Voice recorder: I like to make recordings as reminders and email them to myself...especially handy when driving and you suddenly remember something.

Also... games... I love Jewels. It's like bejeweled.
For organizing, Joel says Google Listen. Podkast streams them. To do list... astro tasks

The ones I use the most:
Weatherbug  Barcode Scanner Key Ring (scan store cards in so you don't have to carry them around in your purse) Backgrounds (free wallpaper app) DroidLight Mabilo Ringtones Pandora PDA net (allows you to use your phone as a modem for your laptop when travelling) Smart Shopping (shopping list organizer) ColorNote (Note program - I use it to jot down scrapbook ideas when I'm out and about.) Games: Blocked Traffic CopyCat Jewels Toddler Lock (a must if you have kids that need entertained. It locks your phone but allows them to draw on the screen.) Word Search Sudoku

I heart radio Bump - I transfer photos from my Itouch to the droid and so on Fandango Mazeoid - a pacman game Photobucket Superyatzy PC world did an article of the must have's that may have others: http://www.pcworld.com/article/18163...u_started.html Also if I am running into problems with something with the phone - I go here for some help: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/ I had to turn to them on how to get my gmail account to forward my hotmail emails to my phone. My dh just called me tonight (he's working up in Alaska) and wanted to know if I've gotten a new phone yet...he wants my old phone to take back up with him when he comes to visit in a few weeks. We had talked about it but I hadn't done anything about it. I think I'm going to go and get me a Droid tomorrow. I'm with Verizon and have no plans to switch. You guys have me all excited about it now!

Ok...just got my Droid today (got the same one Stacey...the Motorola), but I can't get Mabilo Ringtones. it says it's not an app. Anyone know what's up with that?

My dh and I have droids and we downloaded the Touch To Talk app and are having fun playing with it. Sort of like the walkie talkies but distance doesn't matter. I called him from my work that was about 40 miles away.....

I'm loving an app called Our Groceries. DH has it too and it's web based as well. It syncs up your grocery lists on both phones & the web so everyone knows you bought the peanut butter or didn't get the beer. I update it from home in the morning & then check off & add things by phone while I am out. You can have multiple lists. I break mine up by stores so whichever of us is in Safeway or Lowes knows exactly what we need to buy. I even have one called 'gifts' because my birthday is coming up and he can't claim he has no idea what I want.
