HELP with a picture
Hi,
My husband took this photo today with his iphone and it's so grainy but I LOVE it and want to scrap it. How do I fix it? (I'd be indebted to anyone who can fix it).

Not sure that this is any better - but here you go |

I would convert it to BW and make it much smaller, then sharpen it using the High Pass filter. I think that will make it look better.

You could always blend it into a neutral background - those kinds of photos don't need to be sharp to do that. Kind of like this one:

I like Jacinda's blending idea. I would probably just crop it to the kids, apply a reduce noise filter (as a smart object if you can) and then use high pass to add some definition around the edges. You'll probably need to fiddle with curves/layers a bit too. If I weren't at work, I'd take a stab at it too. It's hard to know what work without actually working with the photo

I took a stab at it for you. I use Paint Shop Pro so I'm not sure how what I did would translate to your program, but I made several layers and ran different filters on each one. I also ran a high pass filter on it. I'd suggest using it smaller, too, that will help the blurriness. I hope this helps a bit! It's such a cute photo!
