Default Well, I knew it would happen one day...

I just had to dig an M&M out of my screaming 3 y/o's nose. why do they do it? what is the appeal lol Thankfully it was one of the mini ones so it came out pretty easily.

lol that's funny...I couldn't get ahold of it with the tweezers so I held one nostril and told him to blow and it flew out lol

I remember one time my younger sister was taking a nap and my baby brother poured nerds in her ear..we had to take her to the doctor lol!

LOL at the nerds in the ear!!!!

We were making necklaces a couple of months ago, with various sized beads. Rae looked at me funny (she's 4) and said "my nose, something in my nose"...sure enough, a bead in there. Not 5 frickin minutes later she did it again! She never learns!

Glad you got it out of there! Hopefully he won't do it any more!

Yikes! At least it came out easily enough, I'll have to remember Paula's trick to squeeze the nose to melt it! Out of my three kids I can imagine that Kyle will probably be the one to do something like that lol! He always seems to find little things his sisters leave on the floor and puts them in his mouth so it's not much farther to the nose lol!

Of course I think an M&M in the nose is much better than swallowing a quarter like my nephew did a few years back! He was almost 6 at the time (so really old enough to know better) and he got to ride in the ambulance to the hospital and then had to have surgery to get it out.

Oh no! I'm so hoping my 3 yo gets past the curiosity when it strikes!

My cousin stuck all kinds of things up her nose when she was 2 or 3- her parents took her to the doctors because she had a serious nasal infection- turned out if was caused by a bunch of schtuffs, stuck up in there- we're talking cotton ball pieces, bank sticker peels, and get this, bits of a porch-door screen! Can you believe it?! I'm so not kidding or making it up, either!

Oh goodness. I'm glad it came out easily! My fear is that when it happens to me with DD, I won't be able to get it out. Eek!

I've had to remove a pea from my son's nose (I used the 'squish & blow' technique - a variation on the 'melt & blow' you mentioned!) and, less ikky but more scary, the end of a Bic pen from his ear. When I removed the plastic he calmly said "I wondered where that had gone" - I still have no clue as to how and why it was there!

LOL, what is it with 3 year olds the last couple days! I just posted yesterday that my 3 year old stuck a cheerio in her nose, luckily I was able to get her to blow her nose & it came out.

DS2 stuffed jelly beans up his nose while we were driving home from Florida over Christmas. We'd have had no idea he was doing it if he hadn't said "These jelly beans feel funny in my nose." He was almost 5. We'd thought we'd made it past that phase already.
