Default Show Me Your Scrap Therapy Layouts

I need to scrap my feelings, but I'm always lost when I try to scrap without a template.
Right now, at least, I just want to get my words out, and I need inspiration.
It doesn't have to have a lot of words; if you just scrapped to let out your feelings, I want to see that, too.

I'm not good with words, but I like to use journal cards to express my feelings.
Here's one I did recently. That kit came at the exact moment I needed it. And it expressed my feelings better than I could ever write them down.

I love that kit, Sarah! I actually just used it for six vacation pages, so I've found the kit to be very versatile. Here's a recent one from me:

I try to keep my journaling on public pages a little lighter, but here's one where I complain about each day feeling like the last.

Can I make a suggestion? FWIW, maybe you could try writing your journaling in a Word doc or even on actual paper (ETA: if you want a lot of words). I've typed in Word and copy/pasted into PS once I knew how much space my journaling would take. I've also written stuff and then photographed the paper and used that on my page. You could resize the photo to fit in a photo spot on a template. You weren't asking for suggestions, just LOs, so please ignore these ideas if you think I'm off base. It's just worked for me so I thought I'd share.
ETA: oops, didn't include my non-journal ones.

I've done these 3 recently because I felt super frustrated with distance learning last semester and will have to go through it again this semester. I don't tend to write a lot of my feelings out either but I do like kit pieces that help me process what I feel. The grungy messy kits especially help me! They seem to mirror what I feel like inside (a mess) and help me get it out
a little bit while I'm putting it onto the page.

I do a lot of this and sometimes, no one really knows what is going on to cause the reason behind the layout, and no I'm not going to tell the reason why behind the layouts

Believe it or not, several of my "smashbook"/journal book layouts are scrap therapy

Here are some that aren't posted here, but gives you an idea in case you are looking for moodier layouts

There is journaling in these pages, but you can't find it!

I lied...this is actually the first time I talked/journaled about our loss and the struggles of infertility. Once I scrapped this (SO MANY YEARS LATER), it was easier to address and I'm thankful that one of my designers (who is retired) created this kit for loss

I make a lot of layouts where I talk to myself, rationalize what's going on around me. It really helps

Did you know planning a Disney vacation is stressful? I'm a glutton for punishment apparently!

Last one....
(can you tell I currently have internet and I miss you all?? )

I do a lot of scrap therapy pages. Most don't have much in the way of actual journaling. Just letting the art/design/title tell the story.

I use scrapping for therapy whether I want to get the actual feelings out or not...so sometimes I just make pretty pages if that makes sense.

Here are a couple

I am a big believer in scrap therapy, so I love all of these pages. The other day I was talking to my son, who is a writer who is having a creative block, and told him do a "mind dump," which is to put all the things you are thinking about down in writing with no thought of how it sounds. Once you clear your mind of all the clutter, you can go back and make sense of it all and either write about it, or let it go. What is it they say, "free your mind and the rest will follow." To me scrap therapy is freeing my mind.

At the beginning of this month I lost a friendship with a person I had been friends with since high school. We'd had our ups and downs and the last several years had been a down but a few months ago she wanted to reconcile and I welcomed it. It turned out to be a bad idea, she apparently hasn't mentally matured to her true calendar age like I have tried to do. The whole incident was very hurtful and had me down most of the recent holiday weekend. With this month's challenge prompt of "meaningful friendships" I took the opportunity to use it to journal what the other side of a meaningful friendship is like, the breakdown of it. Very therapeutic to get out the anger of how I was treated and my constant frustrations and anxieties over maintaining the very difficult friendship for 8 short (but felt very long) months.

I am very bad at finding words too. I created this layout not so long ago and it was with a template and I did do some journaling but that's very rare but these days I see more and more people ignoring the restrictions and that is what my journaling is about...how it causes a lot of anxiety for me.

and this one is without journaling but also with a template...

Big hugs to you, Kellie!!

I love all of these layouts. Wow! You all are so very talented.

I wish I was better at art journaling types of layouts that convery so much emotion. There are times when the journaling is not something I can share, so I either blur it, or add it later.

You girls are so inspiring!!! Thank you to everyone who posted & to those who gave advice. I ended up using templates & just tweaking them to fit all my words.

Looks like you managed to scrap wonderful pages in the end, Kellie!
I've done plenty of therapeutic pages too, in my gallery. However, lately, I just can't seem to find my mojo to scrap
