Summer Games - August 5th: Wrestling

Hi Sweet Shoppers!

I hope you've been enjoying the Sweet Shoppe Summer Games so far. Today's challenge is inspired by the Olympic sport of none other than WRESTLING!

For this challenge you are to scrap a journal heavy page about a decision you’ve had to wrestle with.

I chose to scrap about the decision I had to make about a recent family trip. Do we go now, or later in the year? Can we actually afford it? What are the pros and cons of the two travel windows we were considering? And then I had to convince my husband to agree (a whole other wrestling match in itself. Haha!)



You can use whatever kit you like, and include photos (or not) as you desire. Just make sure to include lots of journalling.

journaling (translation) :
Seventeen years ago, I had a cyst removed from my scalp. I had suffered a lot because the anesthesia hadn’t taken and I felt the incision. After the surgery, I had some pain and I did not keep a good memory of it. The problem with this kind of cyst is that it can come back in the same area. And this did not fail, a few years later a new cyst came to form almost in the same place as the first. I had in mind the pain of the withdrawal from the one before and did not want to relive it. So I waited, and he was small; he couldn’t see himself. I waited... But after 15 years, the cyst had grown and I was having more and more trouble hiding it with my hair. And within a few weeks, I saw the cyst grow quite large. So I made the decision to have it removed. It wasn’t easy because I always remembered the bad experience of the first one. But it’s done, the cyst was removed despite much anxiety.

Deciding to adopt Perola (Pearl) was one of the hardest and best decisions we've ever made! We had talked a lot about wanting to have a puppy and rescue/adopt a pet, but the right time never seemed to come... we had a lot of things on our list to do before actually getting a puppy, and so time went by. We were worried about whether we would have time, because a pet needs affection, walks, playtime, food, vaccinations; there's a lot to think about!
I was also worried about being able to take care of a living being - especially me, who has a physical disability - I really don't go out with her on the street, I don't have enough strength in my arms.
When she was abandoned on Rita's farm, she gave us a short deadline to decide and it was scary and good at the same time, that furry little thing full of desires and the utmost cuteness! we just had to get her!! We love Pearl so much!!
