I should probably check in with you guys..

I'm super tired today, but I wanted to check in and let you guys know that I have been popping in and out several times a day over the last week. I have seen all your wonderful comments and I really appreciate them.

Last Friday, I asked Robin to post the results of Mama's biopsy and unfortunately as you all know, they weren't good results. She has Metastatic Breast Cancer Stage 3A. Basically when you've had cancer before and it has spread to your bones, they "name" it the same as it was before..only they add 'Metastatic'.

We went for her first chemo treatment on Monday, and that went really well. As it stands, she will have treatments once every three weeks. It doesn't seem like much to me, but they say it's a really great new chemo drug that specifically fights the breast cancer cell.

She was also given 2 medicines that are meant to strengthen her bones, but in the process..they cause bone pain. She's already in so much pain with her back, so..it's not the greatest thing, but we are hoping it will pass after this first treatment.

The results of the PET scan she had this morning will come back on Monday and we will hopefully not be enduring any more painful news as a result of that. The scan looks into her brain and other organs, as well as her bones to see exactly where the cancer is. Please pray that if anything..it's ONLY in her bones and bone marrow. I'm not sure we can handle much more.

To my creative team and guests who are scheduled to create for me this month and next month, please know that I haven't forgotten about you. I'm just not troubling myself atm with anything that is not directly related to Mama. She's been staying with us and it's really tough for me to focus on anything other than taking care of her.

Please pray for our strength and for healing. Also, please pray that I will soon get my hands on some Xanax or Prozac. Thanks everybody.

Bean, I am so sorry that your mom is having to deal with this. Unfortunately, I've been there with my grandmother (only her cancer was pancreatic metastasized to the liver) and I know you're carrying a heavy burden. Please know that I'm thinking of you and praying for your mom.
