Red face Can I get a little bra help?

I grew out of my bra like 4 months ago, but haven't been able to buy a new bra yet... I don't live near any stores that sell nice bras (just Walmart... no thanks). I am busting out of my bra now that I'm nearly 8 months pregnant and the underwire is KILLING me - it digs into my belly and the baby kicks it a lot. I need help finding a good, supportive nursing bra WITHOUT underwire. It needs to be super comfy, stretchy to accommodate changing sizes while nursing, good shape (i.e. I don't want to look like I'm wearing a sports bra with the whole uniboob thing).

I'm looking at the Bravado! bras, but wanted to come ask my oh-so-helpful girlfriends and see what you all like!

Honestly my favorite nursing bras are the target nursing tanks. I seriously love them. I have 3 that I rotate out and they're my favorite thing ever. I can nurse in public without worrying about my tummy showing, and they're super comfy. I'm one of those weird people who always wear a cami under my shirts though, so I'm kind of used to having that extra layer.

I have 2 of those nursing camis and they really didn't flatter me at all without a bra.

It's been about 4 years since I've needed a nursing bra but my favorite that I had back then was from the Motherhood Maternity store at our mall (not sure if they sell online).

With my second pregnancy, I was determined to get a nice nursing bra and this is exactly what I got - the Bravado body silk seamless bra. It seriously is the absolutely most comfortable bra!!! Well worth the money in my opinion. It has a nice wide comfortable band and it was able to expand when I needed it to and also fit nicely as I weened off of nursing. I would recommend it to anyone!

Wishing you all the best with your upcoming little one!

The seamless looks super comfy, but that is a style I worry about it looking like I'm wearing a sports bra. Does it shape well without the uniboob look? haha I'm like a DD now, so I need SUPPORT!

I got some from Motherhood Maternity when I nursed Belly and I loved them. I swear, I wish I could still wear them, they were comfy as heck. I don't remember what kind or anything though. I donated all maternity clothes (and the bras) 2 Christmases ago.

I personally don't find the Bravados very supportive... but I'm a H cup so that could be why, especially when I'm full LOL

I like Anita brand nursing bras... totally worth the money... although nobody makes my size so I still have to have mine altered, lol

I did try Motherhood bras the last time around, but one of them fell apart and the band would curl up and under my breasts... not cool. lol I'm willing to spend a little more this time because I just want to be comfortable!

Well, I'm not sure how supportive it will be...I am like a C so I can't really answer that. For me, the shaping was fine. But there again, I can't really say since I have a much smaller cup size... The biggest thing I like was that the band was stretchy and never dug in to me, and I wore them all summer and they weren't hot. I didn't feel like I was wearing a sports bra at all.

Megan - i hear you! jumped up to DD too, and loved my Bravado bras - looked at the site and it looks like mine were what's now called the Bliss bra. I needed the molded cups for breast pads - all the "freeform" ones without - ya, uniboobish or unbalanced - def. not comfortable - and unflattering to say the least.

Some other store options: Bella Materna ($$$ but some are on sale); Expressiva Nursingwear ; Motherwear

HTH!

Totally off-topic, but you wear the same size as I do! For some funny reason this made me smile. :-)

Meghan - I sure cannot help you with nursing bras, having no experience with them at all, but I usually buy online here (a shop that sells from D to K cup sized bras) and they have perfect products for big boobs. This is what they have for nursing: http://www.bravissimo.com/products/l...show=16&sort=1

One of the brands they offer is Panache, and I'm totally happy with all my bras by that company, so maybe you could ignore the shop (it's in UK, even though they sell online (and you can give the products back within 28 days)) and try to look for that brand in the US. They really are fantastic.

I got a Bravado nursing tank at Target and I loved it. I'm a D cup and it's was very supportive and didn't give you the tube boob look like a lot of nursing tanks do!!!

Bravado! Nursing Tank

Be prepared they are a bit pricey!!!!
