I prefer clean shaven normally, but James has a shaven bald head. Bald head + bald face = Hari Krishna (sp?)or cancer patient, so for him, I prefer goatee if that makes sense

LOL... awesome topic and so random.

For my husband, I like him clean shaven. He doesn't look sexy with the 5 o'clock shadow.

I do have an older son that has a beard and it looks awesome on him. I never thought I'd like it, but once he grew it in, I was convinced he needs to keep it. Jacob shaved it off last year (for no-shave-November) and it just looked all wrong.

edit to add.. pic of my son Jacob

I'm about as random as they come haha

I keep thinking i'd like darcy with a beard so he'll grow it but then he sorta ends up looking more like um i don't know a homeless man? hahahah that sounds so mean but you know how on some men a beard can make them sorta look still put together? Darcy's hair just kinda grows in crazy directions and such.. lol.

I never thought I would like my husband with a beard. He grew one out for a hunting trip and as long as it wasnt unruly I actually liked it. I dont like long beards though. He has a friend with a long beard and whenever I see him I have this urge to grab the scissors

I put other - he had a goatee for a pretty long time but recently shaved it off. (he lost a bunch of weight so he looks good showing off his chin lol) He always seems to have a 5 o'clock shadow - and that looks good on him

I love a man with a full beard, but DH can only grow a goatee so that's what I voted for.

I wish Sean had a 5 O clock shadow, lol! He can't grow facial hair that comes in really nice. I like goatee and he can grow that, but the its hard for him to get it to fill in and its not dark. LOL! Looks funny.

I think my DH is soo sexy with a goatee playing in the band, but he HATES facial hair. He'll let it grow on the weekends and for my birthday or Valentine's day though. He's just a bit too pretty boy without facial hair.

Love that my hubby is clean shaven... a guy that I was totally over the moon with pre-hubby had a goatee and it worked on him (he was bald), but it's one of those things where I see that and I think of him.

So - I go back to my original thing - clean shaven, no facial hair...

I wish Jeff would grow a goatee, but he says it looks wrong on him. He has a soul patch though, so that's as close as we'll get to it, I think. LOL I do love it when he's scruffy with a 5 o'clock shadow though!

And Nikki, I agree on the high & tight... love that!

I love my husband with a full beard...but he prefers a goatee...since it's his face he has a goatee most of the time-but will grow it out for me occasionally.

I like my husband clean shaven. However, if we're talking eye candy... I like a little stubble. So I guess I like facial hair in theory, but not in practice.

I definitely prefer DH with a full beard/mustache. I bugged him for a couple of years to grow it out because I wanted to see how he'd look with one. He finally gave in and we are both happy with it.

HEre is the Wiki definition:

here are some photos:

My hubby use to go really "tight" (the bald on the side) but now that he is getting older he doesn't shave it down as much!!!

I don't have any good shots of hubby (seems like he is always needing a haircut when I have the camera trained on him ) but here are some good shots of my oldest DS who wears his hair like that!!!

My husband has the sofest face when he is shaven. I love it. In fact, really he is baby soft everywhere... hands, feet. It kinda makes me feel a bit rough. Always thought the ladies were the sofer sex. But then I do alot of the manual labor around here,. He is an intellectual and I wash floors. HAR!

aside. the other day he told me the house was smelling stinkie.. and the floors especially needed some help. And what could "we" do about it? I told him i had never seen him vacuum in his life so he should be quiet or pick up a mop or something. LOL But i do love him dearly. he just says the dumbest things sometimes.

I think facial hair looks sexy...but in practice it is a little scratchy for make-out purposes. Especially the mustache; I am not a fan of getting mustache hair up my nose during a make-out session.

That being said, DH's hair is thinning up top and I think facial hair balances it nicely.

I love my man with a little bit of stubble. I think it is HAWT. You know....like McSteamy.

KCB....you are totally hitting the bottle. I am sure of it. And while you are liquored up.....go enjoy a kid free house. *wink, wink*

Laura W - Go make out with your man! heehee

Nikki - totally not surprised you like your man clean shaven and high & tight. I think the military has trained you well! LOL

I picked "full beard" - but years ago when Dave was in the Army, my answer would have been the same as Nikki's - clean shaven with a high and tight. After 20 years of that, though, Dave was ready to grow a beard when he retired . . . I HATED the thought at first, but now that's sooo the way I prefer him.

I do like a military man, but when they have a day or two off and grow out the 5 o'clock shadow, yeah, that's my favorite.

I love the 5 o'clock shadow scruffiness. Right now he's kinda got a little goatee going on... I'll tolerate it as long as he keeps the scruff

I picked goatee, only because it's either that or a mustache around here.

I've never seen DH without one or the other & don't want to. In fact he's only NOT had facial hair of some sort for about 2 weeks since he was a sophomore in HS. The 5-o'clock is great, just not on him & I really, really hate when it's grown for about 1 1/2 days & is SUPER sharp...I think he purposely rubs it on my neck because I dislike it so much.

Yes it's a military thing lol...DH was already in the army when we met so I've never known him to have hair any longer than like 1/8 in on his head lol...his beard grows like crazy so by the time he gets home from work he's already got a shadow...he had a few weeks off during deer season and didn't shave and nearly had a full beard which I was not crazy about.

His high and tight now is also more of a necessity since he's getting a big bald spot! lol...so he keeps it shaved now partly for work and partly b/c of that..he says it's 10 years with me that made him lose all his hair..yeah right.

I definitely prefer my husband clean shaven! I think his 5 o'clock shadow is totally hot on him, but it's so prickly and I can't stand to kiss it! But, he hates shaving (doesnt like the facial hair, just doesn't like taking the time to shave in the morning) so he usually only shaves on Sunday morning before church.

My DH don't have any type of ''hair'' except on his head and he is beginning to loose it When we started dating he shaved his head and I liked it.
