Default Weekend plans?

What?s your plans for the weekend??

We have a busy one - need to get our outside stuff put away, we are tempting fate with not having it away yet (it?s very likely to get snow before Halloween most years).

K1 (oldest) is going to the Eras movie with friends, I will need to drive them and pick them up - the theatre is 35 km away in the city (about 25 minute drive).

K2 (youngest) has a princess birthday party Saturday before the big kid?s movie.

LAUNDRY! Our washing machine was broken for 3 days, right when we got home from a weekend away so it is mounting!

And scrapping!!! Of course

We have basketball, baseball and soccer.
I would love to get a layout or 2 done.

Today is my birthday! We are going "to do fun things today," my husband says, and we are going to a party for a friend whose birthday is also today, lol. I said it's a party we didn't have to plan or do anything for, so we should go! We have our annual pumpkin carving party on Sunday, so tomorrow will be all about prepping for that and praying that it doesn't rain on Sunday!

I would love to go out to one of the pumpkin patches just for the fun of it - but I'm pretty sure hubby won't. So probably a weekend spent doing not much. That is typical of us.

Happy Birthday!! A Pumpkin carving party sounds so fun!!

We have a pretty busy weekend. My 13-year-old son has two baseball games on Saturday and one on Sunday. My husband is the coach so we are always the first ones there and the last to leave. I hope the weather is going to be good. They have been rained out the last two Saturdays. My 16-year-old son has homecoming this weekend. He is going with a group of friends and I wouldn't be surprised if they end up here for a fire and smores after the dance. They are a great group of kids, though! Hopefully, I can get some good pictures this weekend! I would like to decorate for Halloween outside, but my boys don't seem to be interested in helping this year. And, I have pumpkin in the frig and I'm hoping to make pumpkin bread and pumpkin cookies sometime this weekend along with the usual...doing laundry!

I'm retired so every day is a weekend. If it's nice tomorrow we'll do a bit of work in the yard but my back has been giving me trouble lately so I don't know how much I can get done, if anything. Sunday I will watch my grandkids which is always fun and gets me out of the house.

Nothing really for me this weekend - my husband is a shiftworker and he will be on nights on sat and sunday so on weekends like that we really don't do much.

I'd go with you, Tracey! I'm like a kid in the candy store at the pumpkin patch! I just think they are all so darn cute and I want to buy them all! Unfortunately, no one in my house seems interested in going, either!

Don't sit! Get up and dance Went last night with Emily and had a blast! I did not get up and dance, it was a dance in my seat kind of thing for me, but Em joined a bunch of peeps in the front of the theater dancing and singing like they were at the show. The whole theater did all the chants during certain songs, it was tons of fun and the pacing was really great. The runtime is only 2 hrs 45mins or so, so it's a lot shorter than the 3.5 hours of the real thing.

Happy Birthday Ally!!

I was wondering if you had changed your tickets LOL! Is she going again tonight?

I can't believe they cut the song long live!

We did change... err bought new tickets... for last night's show. I don't know if she's going to go again tonight. I don't think I'd be joining her, but it definitely was fun.

There really is some kind of special magic going on between Swifties right now. Everyone was strangers in that theater, but they were all making eye contact and singing lyrics to each other and dancing like they had not a care or bit of self-consciousness in them and had known each other forever. I kept thinking to myself "she's found her people".

And they did cut long live from the live performance, but the studio version is playing during the credits and it's pretty great. Don't want to spoil it for anyone who is going but the credits are worth watching <3

Happy Birthday Ally!

We actually have a pretty quiet weekend- as in we are all in the same place this weekend with activities! lol

Daughter is going to the eras movie with friends tonight, then one of the other highschool's in our area's homecoming dance with friends & a date on Saturday, then she has softball practice on Sunday.

Son has a hockey game saturday, Practice sunday.

Our local hockey team has a home game on Saturday that we'll go to, as our billet player is playing & we'll support him! That also means I'm making his pre/post game meals on Saturday.

I'm hoping to catch up on Laundry today, as well as some chores, but of course get some scrapping done too. I also need to do some fall outdoor cleanup of the shrubs & flowerbeds- that will all depend on weather!

Running like crazy...Tonight is a fall fest at my youngest's son's school and his dance team is dancing...(He takes dance instead of PE class...a lot of fun). They are dancing to the Just Dance song from Barbie movie.

Saturday up super early to take youngest to a cross country meet...he isn't running but it is the championship and he wants to cheer his team mates on.

We are in the totality of the solar eclipse tomorrow so we will be watching for that as well as continuing to put house back together from our several months of painting...mostly our office which is where everything was shoved.

Sunday is church...It is my week to sing on Praise team as well as choir (we alternate weeks for praise team) We have to be at church by 845am for sound checks and rehearsal. Sunday afternoon is resting up for the next week.

Happy birthday, Ally!!

We're getting Halloween decorations out this weekend. Usually I do it at the beginning of October, but hubby came home from a trip with a cold and passed it onto me, so I haven't felt like doing anything.

Our grandkiddos are coming to our house tomorrow.
Sunday morning we are heading south about an hour from our home to look at a lot on the Rock River in hopes of being able to build a cabin on it (the lot is just a few doors down from where my parents lived years ago, so the place is near and dear to my heart).
Sunday afternoon we're going out with some dear friends. We will stop at the casino for a bit before having dinner. Always a great time with them.

Very quiet weekend here as not feeling 100%. So far my weekend has consisted of sleeping and following the results of our national election that came out over the past few hours. Hoping I feel better tomorrow and I can get some scrapping (and belated DSD shopping from here) done.

Still recuperating from surgery on Oct 2nd. I also love college football so will watch a few games today. My cousin has a son playing for a small college and they stream their games so I've been watching them on the computer since covid. I do take screen caps and have done some scrapbook pages of some of them. Plan on doing a whole album. This is his senior year so I don't want to miss any games!

I did scrap a little yesterday but after doing my exercises and a quick run to the grocery I was really tired last night. So I think I take it easy today. I have done my exercising so now is time for football.

Last night was prepping for the used book sale at the library I volunteer at. Homework this morning. This afternoon I agreed to drive 200 miles one way for a birthday party tonight. I'll come back tomorrow morning before I work at the book sale. Kiddo has student congress and husband has to work. So what was meant to be chill is now quite busy.

Last night was a water polo game (the girls team for the high school played round 2 of playoffs) then Saturday morning was my oldest son’s water polo game (round 2 of playoffs) and then youngest daughter had soccer in the evening. Tomorrow is church and working on pictures from the 3 games to share and both boys and husband are reffing a few soccer games. I think I only shot about 3000 pictures to get through so maybe will have time to scrap a little too.

yesterday was cleaning the house as my dad was coming. Way back my husband bought tickets to see William Shatner live... it was just a boys thing. Then my cousin decided to get married in Italy and my uncle gave his tickets to my dad - and that meant I was forced to go along... ugh, I am not a trekkie and it was pure torture to have to watch a movie... but the live with Shatner was pretty good.

Today, hubby left for training in Chicago (four hours away) at 5am. My dad spent the night - we went out to breakfast and then he left to go to home... and I took a nap for pretty much the whole afternoon, lol.

Sunday - we have church in the morning and then in the afternoon, my son has symphony rehearsal... I'm a parent rep so I have to go early to help with set up... it during rehearsal if there are questions and then clean up. Hubby should be coming back from his training some time in the evening.

Happy birthday Ally!!

Here Saturday was all for baking Apple Pie and strawberry cheesecake, cleaning the house and a late afternoon soccer game of my son. And Sunday we are celebrating his 15th birthday. So a very busy planned weekend. In October we have a birthday almost every weekend lol.

Happy birthday, Ally!!! I hope you had a wonderful celebration.

We had an uneventful Saturday as I needed to rest more, for being sick the whole week. Today, though, Lan forced me to leave the house for lunch. It was good to be out after being cooped sick at home for a week, but boy I still felt exhausted.

Happy birthday, Ally!
Our archery center had a free Try Archery even yesterday so my youngest and I worked at that for a few hours. Then we went down to Indiana with a friend to a barn party. The 2.5 hrs in the car flew by as we chatted and then we got to drive to some Amish country. The party was fun - snacks, drinks and cards and meeting new people! And then I relished not having to drive back. I love to be the passenger!
Today I planted tulips and did some yard work, started on Season 5 of the Crown so I'm ready for the new season next month and went up and shot my bow.

Sorry I am late, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALLY!

We had a busy weekend.
We went shopping on Saturday morning. We spend Saturday afternoon and Saturday at a friends' house who was having a party. Her dad is a chefwho retired and he wanted to cook again for lots of people. So our friend envited some people over for paella.
Sunday I spend cleaning the house and playing with Finn.

I love seeing how different everyone’s lives are, what a great variety of things we all did on the weekend!

I saw this today and laughed since Friday the 13th just happened:

Friday the 13th is still better than Monday the whatever.

Totally true today!
