Prayers please!!!

I just got a phone call telling me that my FIL is on his way to hospital in an ambulance for a suspected blood clot in his brain. He woke with a headache this morning and then collapsed. That's all we know for now, but I do know that if my MIL is making phonecalls to her sons before my FIL has even been put into the ambulance it isn't looking all too good.

Update: First I want to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. DH came home from work this morning so we could make the 3 hour drive to the hospital where my inlaws live and we just got home.

Here's what we know(actually more what we don't know) so far. FIL woke with a headache, started feeling light-headed so headed back to bed and fell against the footboard of the bed waking up my MIL. He then began having tingling sensations all down his right side and began slurring his speech. MIL called the emergency number of their doctor who then called the ambulance service. He was responsive in the ambulance, speech already improving at that point. They did a CT scan of his entire body and found no blood clots anywhere. They now suspect a possible narrowing of an artery in his neck which had an ultrasound for this afternoon. We are awaiting the results of that and hope to hear something tomorrow. For now he is on cardiac watch in the brain unit at the hospital and will be there for at least 24 hours. He was very alert and his normal self when we saw him this afternoon but they say this is still a critical time for him. So if you would continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers we would greatly appreciate it.
