Help with Christy Lyle's Birthday Calendar
Here's the link to it in the store:
https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/s...cat=298&page=1 I am loving this idea as a gift for my very good friends/neighbors. My question is...what do you do with it? Is there a chipboard album you can adhere it to? Would you just print it on heavy cardstock and use a binder ring to hold them all together? It seems to me it would get messed up pretty easily in your purse if it was cardstock. I'm pretty new to the hybrid thing, so can anyone help a gal out? |

Here's how Christy said she did it:

Since they are just rectangles, you can use anything you want to stiffen the pages. I would probably glue 2 months to a 3rd piece of cardstock in lieu of using chipboard. It'll be plenty stiff with 3 sheets. If you want something stiffer, you could cut up an old cereal box or similar box.
If you want to seal them you could laminate them, or use a spray sealer.

You're making me want to make one now.
I would probably have these printed as photos. Trim to size and then I would stick 2 together back to back and laminate with my Xyron. I think they will be nice and durable then. I did this with another project and it feels pretty nice. Could use a fine point sharpie to add more dates. (I just tried with Ultra Fine Sharpie and it didn't write on the Xyron laminate very well). I'd probably round the corners too (I think that would look okay?). You'll have to show us your finished project!

Mimi you're a genius! Laminating them is a fantastic idea and I can gift a sharpie along with it!
I'm going to put them all together with a binder ring and I'll attach the sharpie with a ribbon. Yay! I'm so excited now! |
