ever have one of those 'if it's not one thing, it's another' type weeks? yah, that's ours this week. so....tell me....what are three things you are thankful for or that make you smile.


here are mine....
1. a husband who no matter how mad or upset i am, can make me laugh, without even trying.

2. these 2 crazy girls. they are on totally opposite ends of the spectrum, but both of them would do anything to make me smile.

3. vicodin. i am very happy for vicodin

1. SO happy that my husband is giving me the green light on a couple of ideas of mine. (this is huge for me)
2. Also thankful for my trip coming next week where I will be entertaining my boys AND getting some mommy time. (SO excited!!!!!)
3. I am thankful that my baby FINALLY went down for his nap. *sigh*

Life is pretty darn good at the moment.

1.Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette....seriously the best $50 I have spent on make up in a long time.
2. Lunch with a dear friend and her daughter today...we had a blast.
3. Having 4 boys who live with me that think I'm da' bomb even though a lot of times I totally suck.

1. Super thankful for a sweet 8 year old that I just got to take to lunch and shopping!
2. Thankful for my beautiful home and that we are almost ready to put in our sod.
3. Thankful for my office... a place of solace!

2. My 7 year old (TODAY!) who challenges me more than I ever thought possible but also loves me fiercely.

1. My wonderful mom, who took the kids early today at 2pm and is KEEPING them for me until I pick them up tomorrow morning.
2. My hubby who is leaving work early tonight so we can have a date!

2. My son just got notified that he made it into the honors program of the university he is attending this fall - yeah for him!
3. I can see the surface of my desk for the first time in 4 months because I cleaned it this morning.

Lotsa vicodin love around here.

Narrowing it down to three will be HARD. I have so many things I am thankful for at every given moment.

1. My daughter is a big advocate against bullying and even got a citizenship award for her proactive stance on bullying at school. Anyway, she has found her passion and is working hard to launch a campaign at school next year against bullying (in addition to what the school already does). She made a graphic and we ordered t-shirts with it on there. The first order of shirts came today and they look great. She is so very proud of herself. I have an amazing young lady!
2. My boy is being so affectionate and lovable today. He is most of the time but today I've gotten like 50 kisses so far from him. He's also being very helpful around the house... and he made 2 baskets (basketball) so he's super proud of himself. I have an awesome little boy!
3. My husband has been working super hard not only at work but at a side job helping a friend remodel his house. He came home and took care of the kids while I went shopping (after taking me out to lunch) and now he is outside cutting up fallen limbs with the chain saw. He works so hard and is so supportive of me. I just lub him.

Now... a few more superficial things I'm thankful for...

1. I hit the shoe store and got 3 pair of shoes for $27 today. Score! Love them. I never buy myself shoes so this is a big deal. LOL
2. Walmart was giving out free samples of Drumstick ice cream cones (full sized ones!) so I got to have a nice cold treat while I did my grocery shopping.
3. It is so quiet in the house right now. DH is outside cutting the limbs and the kids are playing so I am thankful for a little bit of solitude.

We've been having a couple of sucky weeks around here as well... Here are mine.

1. My husband. He's just sooooo stable and able to see the positive in things. He can always reassure me and make me smile.
2. My three boys that are sometimes (often) out of control, but are growing up so nicely and are healthy.
3. My sleeve (weight-loss surgery). I'm down 180 pounds since having it 18 months ago and it completely changed my life. So grateful to have had the chance to have this surgery while I was young and relatively healthy.

Modern medicine that is giving my baby a chance at a normal life.
Dear friends who love me no matter what.

Been a long week here too so I'm thankful

1. That it is Friday and I have two days to myself.
2. For my family, always, even when they make me crazy and do stupid things like go and spend $400.00 on a shot gun without discussing it with me first. My son is kinda in the dog house with me right now, but I still love him to death.
3. That I am feeling healthier than I have in a long time and confident that I will not have to have surgery.

1. My helper is coming today to clean my house, so I have the day off.
2. My boys LOVE the baby. They argue over who gets to holder her, sing to her when she cries, check her diaper, want her to "listen" when we read stories, etc.
3. We're going to see Madagascar 3 as a family with my best friend and her family.

1. First day of summer break...remember I have only one kid and he's pretty independent so summers aren't too bad
2. The fact that we're all three finally getting over our colds.
3. Lunch with my Aunt and Grandpa today.
