I have a feeling which category I'd end up in. I hate dealing with those big huge pieces of fabric. :/ I wash the sheets on my bed more often than the kids' beds. There just doesn't seem to be much point in washing theirs every week. Lol.

Sheets/pillowcases - once a week at least.
Comforter cover - once a week.
Mattress cover, pillow covers, and comforter - twice a month.

I will say..I don't wash my comforter nearly as much as the sheets.mainly b/c I have to have it dry cleaned. My washer doesn't like the king comforter on my bed (and it has the capacity to fit a king comforter..mine just must be the exception or something)

it stops mid-wash every time and I have to keep restarting it..so frustrating so I just have it dry cleaned usually

Weekly for us too. Sometimes I wash the girls' sheets more if there have been an accident (especially true for my toddler)...

What Meg said:

Oh, I remember this one episode of Oprah where she was saying it was nasty/gross to not have clean bed linens DAILY. One of her guests said something like... well, not all of us can do that. First off, it's wasteful when it comes to water & stuff and who has the time to strip all the beds in their house every day? Obviously Oprah has maids who do that for her.

I aim to strip the beds weekly like my mom always did, but honestly it's more like every-other week. I will say that it helps that we are all in the routine of bathing nightly before bed, it keeps our sheets cleaner. I have a "thing" about sending the kids to bed sweaty or dirty. Also, my kids stay dry all night (no bed wetters)

Martha says if you have a comforter/duvet cover, you really don't need to wash the comforter. I, personally, must wash everything otherwise it gives me the sceevies. If it's possible, a comforter cover would help you out and save on the dry cleaning bill. Most comforter covers are thinner like bed sheets.

I wash my sheets weekly. One of my favorite things is fresh sheets on the bed. I have a duvet and I only was it every couple of months.

I usually do mine weekly, but this week...I've done it twice. My husband is a sweater, and it's been humid here, and they were stanky.

Now, the kids' bed sheets...those wind up being like ever 3 or 4 wks. So gross, but they're kids.

I wash the kids weekly too :0x I usually do them all in 1 day.

I cheat though...I strip the bed and remake it immediately with a clean sheet set. I don't wait for fresh sheets although I DO LOVE me some fresh linens..all smelly good from the dryer

we bathe at night too..I usually work out and get a run in everyday (m-f) so I'm pretty nasty by the time I hit the shower lol..I'd never put that in my bed haha

This is us too for the kids. For our bed - it's probably every 2 weeks.

I've never accurately measured it, but I'm thinking every two weeks. We do have a bedcover for when it gets nippier later in the year that I have washed after a longer period.

The goats make me feel like an outsider.

But about the sheets, I really have no preference. My mom was a once a week kind of washer, and I was thrilled to move away and discover how unnecessary that is, as long as certain precautions are taken. I'm more of a, "Hmmm, I think these stink, I'll change them." kind of washer.

Goats? So confused and feeling unspecial haha. and now I have to look at siggies to know who people are :P

I try to wash our sheets every week, especailyl in the summer. That said, if DH is gone in the field or deployed, it usually is less frequently...and because well, I'm lazy lol.

I always have siggies turned off - it's making it extra fun today.

I want to say I do it every week, but really I'm happy if they get washed every other week. We generate so stinking much laundry that it's hard to make myself add another load to the list, LOL.

Every single Wednesday morning! Sleeping on brand new sheets is totally my favorite thing. I'd probably wash them twice a week if making the bed wasn't such a pain.

Whenever I get a whiff of stink... Mostly every 2-3 weeks... summer - more often. Bathing at night helps for my boys.

I love clean crisp sheets so I wash them once a week(everyones). Sometimes I wash them more than once a week.

Do your goats eat your sheets?

I hate clean fresh sheets. I like my bed lived in and I never sleep well if I've washed the bed linen so consequently I errrr ..... Try not to wash them too often sometimes my little doggy has muddy paws when he jumps on my bed so the quilt cover gets a little grubby so I just turn it over and make it last longer .... I know, I'm skanky

We mostly just buy new pillows too. We have covers on them besides the pillow cases, and when they just get too smashed down or worn out, we buy new ones. It's not every three months, but we've mostly given up on washing them.

When they need it. When do they need it? My daughter washes her own sheets. My son's sheets are as often as needed (accidents will happen) and our sheets...well, what with a puppy in the house getting his backyard dirty paws up on the bed, at least once a week or so now.

Ours has covers that I wash with my sheets every 1-2 weeks. I haven't replaced pillows in a while. Probably due.

My husband is gross. He likes flat pillows and gets mad when I replace them. He'd go years without replacing his. I replace mine every 3 mo.

We get new pillows every year as part of our Christmas gifts, haha. usually 2-3 per person and that lasts us the entire year...and we don't throw the old ones out until they get realllly bad, they get moved into the guest room or as floor pillows for game nights. Last count for 2 people we had 16 pillows in the house lol

I have a schedule for cleaning setup in Outlook. I'm actually doing laundry today but not sheets. I wash the bedding when I dust the bedroom, every 10 days. I detest folding sheets so I just wash them and put them back on the bed. We have down around feather pillows so they don't get washed or replaced very often.
