I've read all of John Grishams' books and seen, I think, all of the movies. I loved The Firm book, but hated the movie - the casting was all wrong. So now I'm intrigued by this TV show that picks up 10 years later. Hope it's good! Starts tonight, but regular night is Thursday.

I cannot get into John Grisham's books but I did really like the movie so when I saw the preview for this show I was excited. Need to go set the DVR!

I'm excited! I liked the movie (even though I hate Tom Cruise), liked the book, so excited about seeing the show!

ok....who just finished watching???? Was a little confusing at first but it was sooo good! The previews for next week and weeks to come look promising.

I just finished. Downton Abbey and The Firm were on at the same time, so I chose to watch The Firm since it comes on again on Thursday.

I liked it and it started out really powerful. I'm not totally thrilled with the actress playing the wife, but I guess I'll get used to her.

It's been so many years since I read the book and saw the movie - is Ray his brother or uncle? And he was the one who sailed off on the boat with all the incriminating evidence, wasn't he?

I had no idea this show was even coming on until I saw it in the paper today, or I might have tried to either reead the book or watch the movie.

I might try this out when it replays. I like that guy who's the lead. I'm not a huge Grisham fan, but I'll give it a try!

It's available on Hulu now - I watched it this morning.

Other than the lead character, I don't like the casting of any of the players EXCEPT Juliette Lewis - whom I was surprised to see in her role. I'm not trying to recreate the characters from the movie, and am glad they chose no-names for just about everyone, but I just wasn't fond of his wife (I'm not drawn to her), nor the head of the 'firm' who seems pretty one-dimensional. I'm sure I'll end up liking Ray's character at some point.

But I loved the twists and turns to the story! I'll be sticking with this one - we dropped Once Upon a Time, so this can be my 1 new show replacement
