My Christmas came early....
Hubby came home last night from a six month deployment.
 All week I'd been preparing the girls for the likelihood he'd be delayed a day or two as he inevitably is, but he surprised us and arrived home exactly when he said he would (first time that's happened EVER, LOL). He rang at 8.45pm to say he wasn't far away, then he said "NO CAMERAS". (Stab me in the heart right now why don'tcha - who do you think I am?  )Hehehe...anyway, I grudgingly agreed, then woke up the girls. They were still quite groggy and sleepy till the moment he opened the door, then they were all over him. For the next 45 minutes they were superglued onto his lap, smothering him with kisses and cuddles and telling him about whatever came to their mind. It made my heart melt. They are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy to have their Daddy home again. And me too of course, LOL. He's really tired, and now his body and mind are in wind down mode, he'll likely get sick in the next week or so (that always happens after a high intensity deployment where they don't have a single day off the whole time they're away), so we'll take it as it comes. He has 3 weeks off now, then goes back to work for a few weeks, then has a month off for Christmas. We're all just floating on air right now, and I just wanted to share some happy news. To my CTs, gimme a week or two to come down from cloud 9 and I'm all yours again.

I would cry though if I heard no cameras LOL! Enjoy your time together!!

I remember after DH's deployment to Afghanistan he came home and slept for literally like 3 days.
