Summer Games - Jul 7: OLW: The Wordle Edition

Hi there, Sweet Scrappers!

We are one week into our Summer Scrap-A-Thon! I hope you're having a terrific time with the scrapping challenges. I'm here with Day 7 for you and I think it's going to be a fun & easy one.

Today's challenge is inspired by the popular game of WORDLE and I hope you love what our team has come up with for you on this one! Are you one of the millions that are hooked on playing Wordle? Here's what New York Times had to say about it recently: Since Josh Wardle released Wordle to the public in October 2021, it has evolved into more than just a game—it's a daily ritual, a communal challenge and a source of endless conversation for millions of solvers around the world.

Wow! There is even a Wordle board game available now.



OLW: The Wordle Edition
For this challenge, you are to use a single 5 letter word as a big bold title on your page. That's it! One 5 letter word for your title. Used in a big, bold way. You could used stamped letters, alphas, fonts, cut files...whatever you choose. Just make it, once again, big & bold. I'm looking forward to seeing the style you go with and what 5 letter word you use. There are so many options. The first ones that popped up in my mind were: HAPPY, SWEET, NOTED, SUNNY, LOVED, & PARTY. (You aren't limited to those examples.)
Are you going to think of a word first and then find a picture(s) for it? Or find your picture(s) first and figure out a word to match?

I was looking for a picture I might use and when I came across this one of my three fellas, I thought about how they were smiling.
They had just been joking around about how tall Nathan is and how he's going to be taller than Ethan and Hunter soon.
Ethan and Hunter said it was due to Nathan having thick-soled shoes on. lol Sure, fellas.
Those big smiles drew me in and that's the word I chose to go with: SMILE.




I'm happy to share some more examples with you from two of our SugarBabes.

Ally used a set of flip letters for her bold title. I love how the black and white stand out against all of the other colors.
Her title BATIK clearly points out what creative activity is going on in the pictures.




Rebecca's choice of alpha looks terrific with the graphic designs of her layout. Her title DRIVE is perfect for this story of her son's first big solo drive. Yay, Jake!

Remember, there are NO SET DEADLINES for our daily challenges. YOU decide what you want to scrap, WHEN you want to scrap, and have the freedom to decide what prizes you want to earn or try to win. As long as you've met those requirements and updated our master tracker by September 2nd in the case of our grand prizes, or have this month's tracker updated by the end of July if you're trying to earn this month's 40% discount, you're golden!

It was so hard to keep it to one word. Originally I was going to use FRONT, and then have smaller letters that said "hanging out" before it, but I felt like it cheated. LOL.
