Thanks for posting! We don't have a single good (professional or otherwise) photo of the 5 of us, and I keep putting off scheduling a shoot thinking if I wait just a few more months...I let people take my picture on the rare occasion that someone asks, but I haven't wanted to pay for a shoot until I think I'll like how I look. No more waiting. I'm going to go ahead and schedule something for the spring.

I saw this on facebook myself and had to share it too. It is so true! There are so few pictures of my grandma because she hated having her picture taken. I so wish there were more of her!

Very well put and made me tear up a bit. I came to that realization a couple years ago and now jump into photos every chance I get.

So true. I'm aiming to be in more photos with the kids this year, even if I have to use the timer, lol.

WOW the first part is just like she pulled all that out of my head. I always see imperfection when I look at myself in a photo, but the rest is so true that is who you are and my daughter doesn't care that my nose looks awful at that angle or my bum looks big she will just be glad in years to come when I'm no longer here that she has photos of me and photos with me

I NEED TO PASS THE CAMERA TO MY DH SO MUCH MORE

It really got to me when she talked about how gracious we'd be towards our friends... when I look at it like that, it's so much easier for not to care. I don't judge my friends! I just love them to pieces. Wouldn't love them any more if they lost 20 lbs. So why am I so mean to myself?!

I'm thankful that PL helped me get in the picture this year. And... um... an added perk: because Instagram pics are so small, I didn't really worry about capturing all of me. LOL! Just my face works for me! Ha ha!

Love this whole message, though. I'm trying really hard to embrace it! Because, well, those 30/40 lbs. may never come off. So should my response be to stop living in the meantime?! No.

And I don't know about you... but have you ever taken a picture and thought "Ugh! I look awful!" ...and then look at it a few years later and think "Gosh! I look so much better here!" I better appreciate what I got! My 30s are almost over!!! Eep! LOL!

I've always been like that. I have a bunch of photos from my mid-20's that I though I looked awful and so fat in. I can't tell you how much I'd love to have that body back now! I should have been begging people to take my picture then, LOL. And on the opposite side of the coin, I spent my college years barely eating so my weight would stay down. I look back at those pictures now and think I looked terrible, way too thin for my frame. Why do we do let weight have this much power over us?
