Facebook Account Hacked

Hey ladies!
I know I am friends with many of you on Facebook. It appears my account was hacked sometime last night/this morning. If you got an email from me or see a link in your Newsfeed DO NOT CLICK THE LINK!!!! I had dh update my status to say something similar, but I wanted to post here as well.

I was playing Scratch & Win when suddenly I got a pop-up window, (like the black cmd window), which I closed. About 30 seconds later, I got a bogus Windows Security Alert telling me my computer was at risk. YES my computer was at risk from THAT PROGRAM! It took me & dh until this morning to rid my laptop of the malware/trojans that infected it. I figure it was during the time that I was infected that my facebook account was compromised. Fortunately, I had just recently run Spybot on my computer, so I'm reasonable certain that it just showed last night.

The moral of the story is: be careful what you click on and keep your AntiVirus software up to date! (Lucky for me I've got McAfee and it detected the virus immediately - it just couldn't get rid of it )

I had the same thing happen to me last month...I was terrified. We had our computer checked to make sure everything was okay...

Yep had that same virus (or a similar one) a couple of mos ago and I'm pretty sure it came from facebook.

Thanks, Melissa - it wasn't just you. I had one from another digi-friend, too - so it was just the stupid facebook stuff that keeps surfacing.

That sounds like the same virus that was on 4shared about a month ago... scary stuff!

Have you downloaded malwarebytes and run it as well?

My mom told me she keeps Websweeper updated and runs scans...well I downloaded Malwarebytes right after running Websweeper and it found 15 things!

Oh yeah...ran malwarebytes and it found a bunch of stuff. Then this morning. BOOM! Another infection. I think my poor computer has the Swine Flu! LOL!

It's really no laughing matter, tho! I had to try Spyware Doctor...that found even more stuff. UGH! I think my computer may be getting better, but I think I may stay away from FB for awhile.
