Question Thank you card idea for ER Physician and staff?

Good Morning!

I am new to the message board but have been enjoying and purchasing kits for many months from here. (Love them all )

Usually I can think up card ideas quickly, but I am stuck on this one. I would love to do a "thank you" card for the doctor and staff that treated my youngest son a couple weeks ago (knocked out his tooth completely and needed stitches for his lip) My plan is to a paint can as well filled with candy.

Any suggestions or thoughts on a hybrid card to do?

Thanks so much! I really have "scrappers block".

Erin

PS And Happy 4th!

Hey Erin - I'm really glad you decided to post in the Community! Its a great place to chat

As for card ideas, I would definitely suggest that you take a wander through the Hybrid Inspiration gallery or the Hybrid Babe Gallery until you see a design you really like. There are some gorgeous ideas out there to suit all tastes and occasions!

Also, have you seen this kit from Libby? It might be just what you're looking for for a thank you to the ER....

Can't wait to see what you make - remember to show it off in the gallery!

Hi there!

I have to share with you a card I saw in Scrapbooks, Etc. magazine a few months ago...it says 'Get Well Soon' on the front of it but I think you could word it differently since it's going to the staff, etc. I think it's super cute though with the paper made to look like a band-aid!

It's shown on the right hand side -

Default Thank you!

Good Morning!

Thank you both so much!

It is funny, I purchased that kit a few months ago...maybe just guessing since I have three boys. LOL

Maybe I could do a combination with the kits background papers and use the band aid type card?

I look foward to hanging around the community and I will post what I come up with.

Thanks again!

Wanted to add: He knocked his tooth out when jumping on the bed. What about a "monkey jumping on a bed" card?

See how I can't get it figured out, I keep changing my mind...lol!

I was going to say a band-aid card myself before I even saw the other posts.

I think you could pull off the band aid card with whatever kit you wanted and then you could make your pail match. I'd stick with something medical related. I'm sure the ER staff is going to be very surprised.

Just so you know, depending on where you live...it's possible that the person that treated your son was a resident and has rotating hospital shifts. I would recommend calling the hospital to find out when that doc will be there again so that you are sure the people you want to thank get your gift will be there.

Don't forget to come back and show us what you make!

Default Thank you!

Thank you so much! I finally finished up the card and gift today and dropped it off to him. Funny when we stopped by the nurse said he was on his way in, so good timing.

I will post a picture in the gallery...

Thanks again!

I finally had a moment to upload the pictures after resizing them. Thanks again for your help!

Funny thing (maybe not to funny) my middle son had to visit the ER two weeks ago for a doorknob to the head injury. I am thinking lots of bubble wrap and helmets are in the near future!
