Default Glue for Note Pads

What kind of glue should one use to make note pads out of scrap paper? Does Rubber Cement work? Surely some of you hybrid pros have done this. Thanks in advance for your help.

it lasts a really long time... haha

I have heard of people using rubber cement, but haven't tired it myself... I've only used the padding compound.

Thanks gals! I knew you would know what I needed. Sean wants to make a flip book, and I told him I would ask the scrappy girls what kind of glue to use. He kept asking me, "Did your scrappy friends tell you about the glue?" You all are becoming a very trusted resource in our household.

And, thanks for the tutorial Keely! I'll definitely be referring to it.

Oh how cute!! You'll have to tell us how it goes

I got some PVA a while back and haven't used it yet . . . I'm hoping it hasn't expired . . . I'll let you know how it works out :/

I had searched for the notepad glue on Amazon and tonight Amazon decided to suggest bookbinding PVA to me, which I then realized is available at Dick Blick's Art Supply. We have a Dick Blick here in town. Would this work?
