Default 5x7 Bragbook- how to assemble/create?

Question from the truly hybrid clueless here...

So I'm putting together a 5x7 brag book from Zoe. Okay, so I print out the photos at Costco. Ummm... what then? I want to give the brag book to my IL's, my dad, and my dd's... can I buy a 5x7 album, or will I need to modpodge it to chipboard or something like that?

Help, I have no clue! And I am scared to size it down to 4x6 since it wouldn't be exact, and I don't want it to look wonky or anything...

Hello You have a couple of options once you've printed your pages. You could buy a 5x7 photograph album and just slip the printed pages in as you would photographs. You could adhere each page to chipboard, punch holes and tie together with pretty ribbon or book rings.

Yay! You're now experiencing the fun part about hybrid! You can do whatever you want to do!! Any of the options Andrea mentioned would be fabulous! You can play around and see which type of album you like best!

Good luck and be sure to come back and show us what you come up with!

I will let y'all know! I think I'm going to assemble my own album with the help of a friend who is a paper scrapper (and she's intimidated by digi stuff lol.) I am heading to Archivers to get some chipboard and basic supplies... then we'll see what my friend & I can come up with.

So, they are done! With the HUGE help of my friend Sherri (who "designed" the cover, provided the supplies, actually put it all together because of time constraints...)

I took it over to her house, and we originally started making the cover to fit 5x7. Something was nagging me but I didn't realize at the time... the photo "protectors" I had actually were larger than 5X7, more like 6x7. So when we went to assemble we had an "oh no" moment. The solution was to cut 1 inch strips for the top and adhere the cover we made to it. I think it turned out well in the end.

Here are some photos... because my friend was helping me, the outside is not SSD products so I'm not sure that I can upload to the gallery, but I hope it's OK to do here? I am going to buy a crop-a-dile and some other basic supplies (stronger adhesive, etc) so that next time I can do it more on my own and maybe make the cover with digi supplies.

It was a good learning experience, and I'm pleased with how it turned out, considering! Sorry for the TERRIBLE photo quality, I'm in a hurry about to leave to travel this a.m.

Thanks y'all! It really has whet my appetite to do hybrid stuff. It is very rewarding to finally have something in my hands, and one of them was for my 6 yo and she was so happy she was hugging it.
