Default Wii Games

We finally got a Wii for Christmas and now I need to start getting some good, age appropriate games for the kids. We got Mario Cart, Wii Fit Plus, some football game, and Pet Rescue. The kids like Mario Cart, but it's a little hard for Caroline (4). Ryan (6) likes the football game, too. Neither like Pet Rescue, lol. I'd love to find a few that they can play together and both enjoy. Any suggestions for what your family loves???

TIA! ♥

There's a few Dora Wii games you can get...Dora Saves the Snow Princess and Dora Saves the Mermaids. My 4 year old who got her DS when she was 3 got those 2 games and she knows how to play them with little help from me.

I've found my kids would rather play and struggle through the older games than play the boring ones made for their age group. They start learning after only a few times playing it. We like Lego Star Wars, the new Super Mario, Super Hero Squad, Lego Rock Band, Mario Kart, Namco Museum Remix, etc, etc. We have boys. LOL

We got the New Mario too and we all love it! We'll play it for hours and I literally just got done beating it like 10 minutes ago! lol!

My son's 4 1/2 and he can play it. He doesn't get far and needs us to help him once in a while, but he does really well jumping on the bad guys and all that. He loves it as much as we do!

I got a Boy & His Blob too, but it's not good for little guys. I really want to get the Toy Story Game. We got our son the M&M's racing game for Christmas, but we haven't opened it yet. It looks like it'll be a good choice for our little guy.

You know, I've never let Keira play the Wii. She's probably ready (4 1/2), but I don't know. LOL!

She plays her vsmile really well.

DH got Toy Story Mania for Christmas. It's a fun game for adults but it's definitely one that Blake (our 2 yr old) can also play (with assistance for some parts). It's basically like the ride at Disney World and Disneyland.

Mine love Carnival Games and Carnival Games Mini Golf. Abby has Cosmic Family and she can play it with no assistance. She got Disney Princesses Enchanted Journey for Christmas and seems to enjoy it so far. We have MarioKart and Cars but both my kids are really really really bad drivers. I play it and they're like.. mom.. how do you do that... LOL... um.. stay on the track, kids.

My boys love the various Lego games. They were 4 and 5 when we got Lego Star Wars. It took DS2 some time to get good at it & occasionally I had to look up the walkthrough online to figure out what they should do next. But he perservered and has gotten very good at all of the now.

Mario Kart was also a struggle for him the first 5-6 times he played but he got better fast with practice.

This is the one game DH will play with Jaxon on the wii... You can also get used Nintendo gamecube games to pay on your wii- a great way to stock up on kid games (we get ours from Game Crazy). all you need is a wii compatible gamecube controller to plug into the top- someone at a game shop can be sure you get the right one. Gamecube had more games for young kids than any other system it seems- glad you can play them on wii.

For those of you with the wii.. or any system... I highly recommend Gamefly. It's like Netflix.. but for games. Great way to try out games before you shell out the money for them.
