Default WAY OT: Anyone have or use menus?

Anyone have menus that they use for their daily meals.

I know a lot of people keep lists of the foods they usually need to purchase at the grocery store or a master list, but would love some help on how people made or use a menu for daily use....

Do you use it for just dinner? or do you plan your meals for all day on it!??

Would love some advice on how to set one up if you have done it before!

thanks in advance!

I do usually.. then again I am a tad obsessive about lists and such lol.
It helps me because a lot of times I'm cooking 3 dinner meals and it's just a mess. Breakfast and lunch I usually just wing it though, they're not complicated lol.
My advice? Stick to basic things at first, don't try to pile on too much because you'll just huck the menu & don't make it while you're hungry.. because 3 days later you'll look at the menu and be like bleck I don't want this!

So Lauren did you just type up a spreadsheet and list what days and what you were having??

Need to try to figure this out... I think it will make planning the rest of my meals a lot easier!!

THANKS!!

Well, I'm pretty terrible about meal planning, just ask my husband, but my MIL is really great. She uses a regulary weekly planner, and she marks all the dates they will be traveling or eating out or whatever, and then she just plans meals for the days they're in town and writes them on the weekly planner. She always has one green & one yellow/white veggie; I mean, she's got it going on. And she makes sure they have a good variety of meats.

She keeps a list of spices she has in the back, so that she can make sure she has what she needs. And I guess she just makes her grocery list as she plans her week. I know she has a set of staples she keeps on hand, but I'm not sure what they are.

I wish I could get motivated in that area! Good luck, Kim!
