Default Activities for a 10 years old girl?

Hi all, I just organized with a friend to sit her 10 year old girl tomorrow (for her birthday). I won't have much time, like from 5 pm to 7 pm, any idea that would be fun for her to do? Something hybrid/crafty, maybe?

What about something such as making cookies? My DD loves to help in the kitchen.

I do think something crafty would be fun but am not sure what that would be since crafts and I don't mesh well.

I'd offer her a choice of 2 things, like a craft project or a cooking project. If it's her mother's birthday, you can ask if she'd like to do it as a present for her mother.

For crafty stuff, at that age, glitter and sparkles=good! If you can get to a craft store tomorrow you could pick up some inexpensive wooden frames or other wooden things for her bedroom and decorate them with paint and sequins, acrylic jewels, or glitter glue. If you want to do something with what you already have around the house, you can make a fancy homework set. Let her pick a few digi papers, print them out, and then cover the front of a notebook and a can (or something similar) to hold pencils, scissors, etc. Then you can add some ribbons or other 3-D things.
