SIGH...
...so I sent the girls off to school today. Emmie was soo excited to be starting Kindergarten this year but wow it's quiet here. I'm soo gonna miss them. Thought I'd post a pic and share my first day blues...
 Any other mommies out there a bit sad when summer is over and their kids go back? R

Oh that pic is adorable! I'm going to be a bit sad this year as well, although I have another 4 weeks to go. We don't go back until September 2nd.
My 4 year old starts preschool as well, so that's the one I'm really not looking forward too... LOL!

My kids aren't in school yet but I can feel your pain. I will be a mess when I send mine (if we send them...we are trying to decide if homeschooling would be better). I was thinking though of how early school started for you guys.

Oh girl I'm right there with you. My kids start back 2 weeks from today. My baby will be starting middle school, and my oldest will be in high school. WAH!!!!! I'll be a big old blubbering mess that day. No doubt.

Mine go back on Thursday..only one Im really sad about is Cam since she starts prek. She's been in daycare/playschool for a few years now though so I should be fine lol

Awwwwwwww they are totally precious!!!
And yes I know how you feel. My baby starts first grade next week. It will be her first year in school and away from me. I will sooooo miss her... that's why I'm getting a new puppy!!  hahahahaha!! I can't not have a baby around the house!

How sweet! I too will be sad, but sooooo glad that my oldest will be back in school! He's given me the biggest headaches this summer!

Wow, your kids start early! Mine doesn't start until after Labor Day. At 13 years old, I can only WISH that she started today!
 (I start back to college a week before she starts back to school. Hardly seems fair!)Thank goodness that swim practice starts next Monday. That'll give me a few hours of drama free time everyday. Your girls look super cute!

Mine started last Monday and I was happy. My kids get so bored at home and thrive so much better when they are busy with school and in a set routine, so it has been a good thing for me. My daughter started Kindergarten too, although she had half-day pre-K last year, so it was a really easy transition. Does Emmie go half-day or full-day kindergarten?

Awww, so cute! I can't believe school is starting already for you!
Last year when I put Mason on the bus, I started crying...and I missed him SOO much that day. But then it just got to be routine and was a lot easier once I found out that he loved being at school and had a good time. Just that first day was really tough. I'm sure I'll be a basket case when Natalie starts school next year, lol! I think the hardest part will be for Andy...he's gonna miss having his sisters there to torment him all the time. The first few months Natalie was hanging off me and not letting me get my work done, but she just didn't know what to do with herself once Mason was gone (they're so close in age, they've never really known a time without eachother, lol). I found I had to promise to do something special with her every day...bake cookies, a cake, play with her dolls...whatever. Last edited by ditzyscrap; 08-04-2008 at 12:02 PM.

Mine start back soon too! I am always torn, I love having the extra time to do my things, but it is always too quiet and I miss them!

I go back as a teacher next week, so the kids have 2 weeks at grandma's and then school. Jaxon starts kinder after 2 years with me, and Marley will be a peer model in a preschool unit on my campus (this time not with me). She's the one I'm sad about- she's never been to "school" only a sitter's house up until now- and she's SO excited!
Anyone else think Robin's oldest looks just like her? I do!

Sweet pic. And yes, Regan started Kindergarten last year and it was a hard mommy day for me.
We start back on Aug 25th and I'm really looking forward to it. lol Actually, I enjoy the lazy days and having them here with me... but I DO NOT enjoyed the fighting they do when they're spending so much time together. They get along so much better when they're not together 24/7.

your girls are soooo cute!!!! hannah was supposed to start pre-k this year, but we can't get her birth certificate right now, so we're out until next year, but she is going to start dance classes this fall and I am FREAKING out about leaving her with a stranger for an hour once a week... yeah, school is NOT gonna be fun next year!

Oh Robin they are beautiful! I can relate, Lily goes into first grade this year. Last year was only half day so this is our first "real" full school day. I am really going to miss her so much! Its almost harder for me then kindergarten was. You guys started early! We go back on August 27th.

and I can not wait for it, that the vacations are ignited lovely pic, robin. Bennett and Vinc never want matching outfits, at most once a similar T-shirt or some same trousers, more not.

Mine don't start for 2 weeks. I am always a little sad at the start of the new year but they are so excited. And I do love the back to school shopping part. I think my 2 year old will be heartbroken to have both her sisters gone all day though...poor thing.

Aww they're so cute, love their matching outfits! We have to buy a lot of matching outfits for our girls too, otherwise it causes a huge fight! Kaylie starts first grade on August 13th, she is so excited to be going full days this year and getting to eat lunch at school! Kelsie starts pre-k on August 20th and she's getting excited too. It will just be me & Kyle here in the mornings & I'm really looking forward to that, then Kelsie & my niece will be here in the afternoons. They play together really well, so they keep each other occupied!
