I'm jealous I'd love to see how it differs from CS3, but I'm only just getting used to that LOL xxx

Yay for you!

I have CS4 installed, but for comfort's sake still use my PSE. I just end up saving and opening in CS4 to do something I can't do in PSE (tweak a shadow, text path, etc...) One of these days I'll just plunge in...

Yay! I just ordered mine tonight, too (upgrading from PSE 5).

Can't wait until it gets here!

When I upgraded from PSE 3 to PSCS2 I HATED CS2 and didn't really use it for a six months. Then finally one day I made myself just use it and not go back to "comfort" of PSE and I haven't gone back since. I still wish they had the tray in CS2 etc at the bottom for my opened papers and elements but oh well I've gotten used to little things all over my workspace! But lets see tutorials.....Drop Shadow Tuts!! BEST thing in CS2 is the warping/manipulating of shadows.

Misty Cato has some great tutorials on her blog that specify CS2 etc.

I had CS4 for a few days and hated it so I deleted it. I didn't find that there was anything I wanted to do that I couldn't do in PSE 6.0. Sure I could make a text path, but how often do I use those and I am happy with the adjustments I can make to shadows in PSE 6.0. I am just a creature of habit so I will stick with what I know!!!

Hope you have a smooth transition when it arrives!!!

You have to learn shortcuts, that is the hardest thing for the switch.

Control J - copies selection/layer to a new layer above
Alt-Control-G to clip something to the layer below

Those are the two ones I HAD to learn in order to function in CS2, I'm sure there are others. Or you can use the menus.

The Daily Digi had a post about short cuts a little while ago, scroll down and you can print yourself a little guide while you learn!

Oh and you can finally run just about any action, and there are tons of free ones out there to get you started! Pioneer Woman has a bunch, The Daily Digi just had a Vignette one, and so many more.

And I believe PSCS4 has some cool extraction tools (that I don't even have)!

That's what I had to do when I went from PSP 9 to CS 2. I just had to use it and not go back to psp. Although truthfully? The clipping mask in cs2 made me NEVER ever want to use PSP again.

Come on Shannon, you know you want to switch.........

Have fun Megan!!!

First off... GO YOU WITH THE AWESOME PSYCH AVIE!!! I love that show, as you can see by MY avie. Teehee!!

And yeah, I'm REALLY sad I won't have my photo bin anymore... sniff sniff. But the thought of using paths and the warp tool... well that makes me happy again.

Congratulations! I just want to upgrade to PSE 6.0! LOL! I can't find it anywhere for a normal price though ... it's either too good to be true or more than PSE 7! (can't get 7 cuz of the system req's)

Can't wait to hear how you like it!
