My desktop is cleannnn

Just have a folder for Scrap Stuff with my designs, layouts, other kits in different folders inside

I have a Home Stuff folder with budget crap, school stuff, music, other random folders inside

I have a Photos folder too but I don't use it much since I use iPhoto but I do have subfolders in there for certain events that I like to keep separate

super clean

I am REALLY clutter free. I hate seeing icons on my screen. Hate it. I am on a mac so it is a bit different having a "dock" but I will answer......

I have my link to internet, Yahoo messenger, CS5, itunes. Those are my short cuts. Then I have folders for unfinished LO's and another folder for NR stuff for the week (this gets moved over to my EHD every weekend when I am done with it.) That is it. Clutter makes me batty. LOL

I'm on a Mac, too, so I have my shortcuts across the bottom - is that the dock? Otherwise, I just have the shortcut to my hard drive on the desktop itself. The only reason I put that there is because I keep forgetting how to find it and I want to be able to easily monitor how much free space I have on the drive.

Now ask me how big my "desktop items from laptop" folder is, and that would be a very different answer. The desktop on my PC was very cluttered and I still haven't gone through everything I had on it.

I have my Recycle Bin, My Computer, a folder named Misc, a Folder named Stuff and a folder for an admin team I am on. Everything just gets shoved into those three folders.

I'm on a PC but the version of Windows I have also has a "dock" at the bottom where I've pinned shortcuts to Photoshop Elements, the internet browser, Scrivener, Evernote, OneNote and Amazon Kindle. The desktop itself just has a folder with scrap supplies and one with the current month's pages.

That said, I'm bad about spewing stuff all over the desktop when I'm working on something. I try to get it cleaned up regularly though because I hate seeing all that junk all over.

I have tons on mine! But I hide my icons and only show them when I need something and don't want to get to it another way. So it looks empty!

I started that so little children wouldn't click on all my stuff... now I can't stand the icons. I should just delete them though. My problem is, I put my layouts there until I organize them... as well as scrapbook supplies I download (until I use them and file them away).

I'm on a Mac so my shortcuts are on the dock. I have the usual--iCal, iMessages, PS, LR, Text Edit, Mail, Reminders, etc. And since I went on a Mac my desktop has been clean! And I've wanted it that way! But when I was on a PC I had about 5-7 shortcuts? A folder to my docs, and shortcuts to my printer, malware scanner, etc

Same here. I do save some things to the desktop but when it gets too crazy, I usually create a folder called "Randomness" and move everything in there until I have time to go through it.

I try to keep a clean desktop. It's got four "permanent" shortcuts on it (my computer, my documents, recycle bin and the folder I keep my layouts in). Other than that, I've got shortcuts to the programs I use all the time pinned to the taskbar (I use Windows 7). Occasionally, I'll save to stuff to my desktop as I'm working but before I turn my computer off for the day, I either move them to permanent spots or delete them.

I rarely even look at my Desktop so it's got lots on it and I really have no desire to fix that.

Mine is super clean. No folders at all, just program icons. I've never gotten into the habit of saving things to my desktop, so that may be what's helping me. Because goodness' knows it's not like I'm an extremely organized person or anything.

Clean clean clean. Only the barest of things on my desktop - those required by Russ. About 5. Otherwise, I don't keep anything on it except for one background photo.

I set mine to "hide deskop" so I can't see any of the folders on my actual desktop.

I have 2 rows of icons. I save my zips there, and then unzip and put away. Which drives Laura insane.

now I want to see a screenshot of Laura's desktop I actually don't have as much on there as I thought....I don't like saving my zip files on my desktop either...they get saved under the CT designers folder or my unused folder and then I unzip them and delete the zip files right away LOL I HATE having unzipped folders anywhere I do save my LO for web on my desktop until I upload them everywhere I want and then I delete them

Mine is a mess at the moment. Lots of temporary files that I need to clean out. But: on my laptop there is NOTHING on the desktop! I love how clean it looks. Now I need to accomplish that on my desktop pc again!

I have 7 shortcuts and that's it. I like my browser, anti virus and laptop cleaners and music things to be there. It's 1 row so it doesn't take loads of space on my screen.

I honestly can't keep zips on it though, as soon as I download I have to unzip and move to a folder where the stuff belongs! My scrap folders can be a mess sometimes but I'd rather it be messy where I don't have to look at it everytime I turn the laptop on lol!
