Default ISO: Cutout Inspiration

Hi ladies!
Been awhile since I've been around here, aside from random purchases... *dusts off sweet shoppe profile*

I'm looking for some inspiration on large cutout photos. Is that the right term to use? Where you have a photo, you take the person out of the background and use that person on a page? LOL. I know I've seen some cool ones but I can't find them in the gallery and I've wasted quite a bit of time searching already. I want to do some fun ones for my son and I don't like how the shadows look so I would love to see how others shadow these parts! Pretty please! <3

Welcome back! Extraction is another term to describe that concept.

I used to extract more often, but here are a few of my layouts I've made this year:

I took the "Seven Seas" and extracted that so it was my titlework for the page:

My best advice is to learn the pen tool! I took an awesome class at Scrapaneers a couple years ago with Amanda Taylor. It was life-changing.
