Default Batman: The Dark Knight

Went and saw it the other night finally. It was really good, I enjoyed it. It's definitely more "grown up" than the other Batmans. Just a note, if you have small kids, you prooooobably don't want to take them to see this. A couple sat in front of us that had two small girls, and they were TERRIFIED! I wanted to slap the mom because she wouldn't take them out of the theater. They were crying, and latching on to her.

Granted, it's not a scary movie, but there are some parts that small kids just shouldn't see, i.e. the Joker cutting people's mouths open

We saw it last weekend. I thought it was awesome...and I usually don't like those kind of movies. My DH wanted to see it so bad so I went and really enjoyed it. Heath's performance was outstanding. I'm sure he'll win awards for sure!!

How was Heath Ledger? I heard his performance is Oscar worthy.

Yah, Heath was awesome. It's crazy because, like, you watch him and you don't think, "oh that's Heath Ledger playing the Joker." You watch him, and he's so in character it's amazing.

i want to see it. I'm so sad over his death. He was such a good actor. His roles were very memorable. Its too bad he had to leave too soon. I hope he gets an Oscar.

We saw it Wednesday afternoon & absolutely loved it! Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker was so amazing, definitely Oscar worthy in our eyes! And Christian Bale, Aaron Eckhart & Maggie Gyllenhaal were all great as well!

yup - Heath Ledger showed the best here
I can't even remember other best player of Joker other than him - he's rock!
But also the Bruce Wayne, Christian Bale is also the perfect one to play Bruce and Batman both.
He looks exclusive, cool and smart all in one!

I haven't seen it yet but DH saw it and loved it... and he's very critical.

Sometimes I wonder what parents are thinking. We're not terribly strict on what our girls can watch, but even we wouldn't let them watch this one. I've heard it's just too mentally disturbing and kids would have a hard time processing it.

I've seen it twice, it was awesome, Heath was amazing and so twisted. Breaks my heart.

But not for kids for sure! My husband was even freaked out a couple times!

I'm with you Laura! We already knew our kiddos CAN NOT see this movie! My relatives that did see it said it is disturbing from beginning to end and my one (youngest) cousin (she's about 23) said she the movie gave her that "I want to kill myself" feeling. She even told me she can't watch it again but her fiance said he LOVED it and is going to buy the movie when it comes out! LOL!

I LOVED this movie- Christian Bale is super hot, Heath was BRILLIANT as the Joker and Aaron Eckhart is a cutie too. But I wasn't crazy about Maggie gyllenhall- she did well, I just don't buy those 2 fighting over her. Is that mean? I don't mean it to be!

Lunafairie- Is that Jensen in your flair? If so pm me- we dated in jr. high and I have some cute pics you'd like!

same with me, I was a bit wondering when I saw Maggie, I was thinking there's a miscasting or something - well - everyone said that she's smart and a good replacement for Holmes, but for me, still doesn't feel right

I hear it was good, but I think it would be too dark for me. My hubby and BIL said the evil was pretty disturbing.

I love me some Christian Bale as Batman.

Honestly, I have mixed feelings about the movie. I think it's just that it was so intense and there was so many villians and darkness that it was a bit much for me. I don't know, I think I might like it more if I saw it again. My DH and I had just re-watched the first one on Friday and I just love the balance it has between the character development, lighthearted moments and fighting. This one just didn't seem to have that same balance. That and I had to hide my eyes every time Harvey Dent was on the screen, .
